ISLAMABAD: Pakistanis are celebrating Eid -ul -Fitr with religious enthusiasm and cultural traditions, praying for national unity, peace and prosperity.
The day began with special collective prayers in mosques and Eidgahs, where people sought divine blessings for the progress and security of the country.
Eid is a time of joy and solidarity, families gather to celebrate this opportunity. People wear traditional clothes, meet their loved ones, and exchange sweets and gifts.
Special dishes such as sheer food and meat dishes are produced, while the children are indifferent to the elderly, which increases the spirit of the festival.
To mark the occasion, the country’s leadership urged people to remember the needy and take part in charity.
‘Divine Gift’
President Asif Ali Zardari increased his heartfelt greetings to the nation and the Muslim world, and highlighted the importance of sharing the happiness of Eid with those in need.
“We should actively fulfill the responsibilities of Zakat, Charity and Fidena so that no needy person loses the happiness of Eid,” he said. He described Eid as a divine gift, which is observed during Ramadan that was given as a reward for fasting and worship.
The President emphasized that Ramadan teaches patience, tolerance and sympathy for the less fortunate people, and these values should be reflected in everyday life.
Emphasizing the need for unity, he called on the Pakistanis to support each other and contribute to the progress and stability of the country.
He also prayed for the people of Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) illegally, and hoped that they would soon celebrate Eid peacefully.
‘We need to be united’
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said in his Eid message that the festival shows the values of happiness, thankful, brotherhood and sympathy.
He urged the people to maintain the principles of patience and sacrifice beyond Ramadan.
Highlighting the challenges facing Pakistan, the Prime Minister called for an alliance against extremism, sectarianism and external threats. “We need to remain united for the integrity and stability of the country and will not allow any conspiracy to succeed,” he said.
The Prime Minister emphasized the collective responsibility of strengthening the economy and social fabric, and said that his government was doing its best to restore and peace and order.
It paid tribute to the armed forces, whose officials continue to sacrifice their lives in the fight against terrorism.
Prime Minister Shahbaz expressed solidarity with the families of the martyrs and the victims of the recent Jaffar Express attack. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s irresponsible support for the people of Palestine and IIOJK, and called on the international community to interfere with the ongoing human rights abuses.
At the end of his message, Premier encouraged people to share the blessings of Eid with the backward people and help build a more sympathetic and comprehensive society.
‘The symbol of unity’
Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) and Service Chief also increase their congratulations to all Pakistanis.
The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement, “Eid -ul -Fitr stands as a symbol of unity, sympathy and thanksgiving, marking the end of Ramadan.”
“For our soldiers, the real essence of Eid is in honor of defending the nation of our choice – even in separation from the family – when trying to promote peace, prosperity and harmony.”
“This is good. The opportunity gives us the opportunity to consider the unwavering bravery and commitment of our national heroes, the brave men and women who protect our freedom and sovereignty.”
“The armed forces deeply appreciate the sacrifices of these brave people and the permanent support of their families,” he said.
The statement said that with the spirit of Eid, the armed forces of Pakistan demanded that all citizens unite under a banner of love, respect and solidarity, which the principles explain our great nation.
