Masting: A suicide bomber detonated an explosive near the Balochistan National Party Mengal (BNPM) rally in Lock Pass of Masting.
Providing details of the incident, police said the suicide bombing happened when a volunteer stopped a suspicious person near the BNP-M protest. The accused detonated himself during the search. Authorities said they were evaluating the damage limit.
The incident has emerged in the midst of a bad situation of law and order in the country’s largest province through the land area, reports of several terrorist attacks in recent weeks.
The attack last week took place a few days after the killing of at least eight terrorists, namely four workers and four policemen in Kalat and Noshki districts.
In addition, at least five passengers were hanged two days ago when gunmen stopped a Karachi -connected bus in Gwadar’s words, and forcibly removed them before they were killed.
In another recent attack, at least five people, including three Frontier Corps (FC) troops, were martyred, and 35 others were injured in a blast targeting a paramilitary convoy on Noshki Dalbandin Highway.
Earlier, dozens of militants belonging to the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) blew up the railway track and attacked the Jaffar Express, which took more than 440 passengers who were later taken hostage.
After a complex clearance operation, security forces neutralized 33 attackers and rescued the hostages.
Despite successfully claiming the train, 26 passengers were martyred as a result of the incident, including 18 security personnel of the Pakistan Army and three FC, Pakistan Railway officials and other departments and five citizens. In addition, three FC personnel were killed in an attack on a security post before the train was ambushed.
The province is also a victim of social and political unrest after the arrest of the leaders of the Baloch Solidarity Committee (BEC), including Dr. Mehrang Baloch. He was currently in the Quetta District, under section 3 of the Public Order (MPO), in a public order (MPO) Ordinance, for allegedly involved in a violent attack on a civil hospital and allegedly involved in the Jaffar Express train bombing.

He added that the Balochistan government has been in touch with the BNP leadership since last night to ensure their safety. Emphasizing the party to remain peaceful, he warned that the elements could try to take advantage of this situation.
A BNPM delegation met with the administration last night, while a government delegation also agreed to meet Mengal today. Authorities urged Mengal and his party members to cooperate with the government, emphasizing that the dialogue is key to improving the situation.
The spokesman added that the sit -in was stopped near the Lock Pass on the last day and there was communication between the government and the Mengal party in the area. Government representatives are also in touch with Mengal and their leadership today.
Stakeholders ‘united’ against terrorism
At a meeting of the Anti -Terrorism Committee chaired by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the Foreign Ministry decided to effectively raise the issue of terrorism with the Afghan government.
Addressing the meeting, Naqvi said that in light of these challenges, all possible assistance will be provided to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
He further revealed that after his reorganization, the Frontier Constabulary was being turned into a National Reserve Police.
The Minister emphasized that the Prime Minister, the Army Chief, and all important stakeholders are united in their point of view to tackle terrorism. He assured that no decision would be made without consulting the provinces.
The meeting was informed that the National Intelligence Fusion and Risk Assessment Centers have been approved, in which work is underway for their implementation in different provinces.
Home secretaries and police chiefs belonging to all the provinces, including Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit -Baltistan, attended the meeting via video link.
