Bangkok: The Myanmar earthquake is increasing on Sunday, when foreign aid teams and aid reached the poor country, where hospitals were overwhelmed and some community entered to increase their efforts to rescue.
In a century, the strongest, 7.7 earthquake in Myanmar shook the war -torn Southeast Asian nation on Friday, killing about 1,700 people, injuring 3,400 and missing more than 300 by Sunday.
Three days after the State Media made an extraordinary call for international aid, the head of the Janata, Senior General Man Ang Hilling, warned that the death toll could increase and that his administration could face a difficult situation.
India, China and Thailand are among the neighboring countries of Myanmar, who have sent relief supplies and teams with aid and personnel from Malaysia, Singapore and Russia.
“Destruction has been widespread, and humanitarian needs are increasing for an hour,” the Red Cross and Red Crescent Society’s International Federation said in a statement.
“After the temperature rise and the monsoon season approaching just weeks, there is a dire need to stabilize the affected communities before the emergence of secondary crises.” The catastrophe has caused further suffering on Myanmar, which is already in a civil war, which came out of a nationwide uprising after the 2021 military coup, ousting the elected government of Nobel Peace Prize -winning Aung San Suu.
Important infrastructure – including bridges, highways, airports and railways – 55 million people have been damaged, which has slowed humanitarian efforts, while the conflict that has defeated the economy, displaced more than 3.5 million people and damaged the health system.
In some areas near the center, residents told Reuters that there was a shortage of government aid, which forced people to stop themselves.

For the harmony of UN humanitarian affairs, the weekend said that some parts of central and northwestern Myanmar, including the second largest city, Mandale, and the capital Napito, were struggling to deal with the arrival of the injured.
According to Thai officials, the earthquake also shook parts of neighboring Thailand, which brought down a low -construction skyscraper building and killed 18 people in the capital.
At least 76 people were trapped under the rubble of the falling building, where rescue work continued for the third day using drones and sophisticated dogs to search for survivors.
The opposition government of the National Alliance, which includes the remains of the previous administration, said that the anti -agent militia will stop all the aggressive military operations for two weeks under its command.
Resident Han Zin said the destruction in some parts of Upper Myanmar, such as the Sagang town near the earthquake center, was wide.
“What we are seeing here is widespread destruction – many buildings fell into the ground,” he said on the phone. “We have not received any help, and no rescue workers are watching here.”
Parts of a large bridge connecting the decoration with a nearby shadala collapsed, the satellite imagery revealed, as well as sank into the Arawadi river, spreading the colonial era.
