Rana Sanaullah, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Political and Public Affairs, said on Tuesday that the federal government accepted the offer of mediation of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Studerry and held talks with the faulty Pakistan Tahrik-Insuf (PTI).
This development took place a day after Bilawal, while addressing a function at the Governor’s House Lahore, offered to eliminate the ongoing political tension between the government and the opposition and the ongoing political tension in the country.
He said: “I have informed the Prime Minister that PPP is willing to work as a bridge between political forces to promote dialogue and cooperation.” The PPP leader said his party was open to dialogue with the government to facilitate constructive dialogue.
Talking to the Geo News Show ‘Geo Pakistan’, Rana Sanaullah, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Political and Public Affairs, said: “The government has accepted Bilawal’s mediation offer and has given him the responsibility to talk to the PTI.”
He added, “If Bilawal is assured by PTI to attend the meeting, there is no problem in re -recognizing the National Security Committee meeting.”
During his speech yesterday, the PPP leader called on the incoming government to join all political parties, in which high -level thickness was left on national security, so as to counter the increasing incidence of terrorism.
Bilawal stressed, “Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif should call another meeting, even after a month … We hope that national consensus will be created to tackle terrorism.”
Responding to a question, the Prime Minister’s Assistant said that the PPP is part of the coalition government at the center, adding that if Bilawal succeeds in bringing the PTI to the negotiating table, it will be his joint success.
It is important to mention here that the former ruling party left all the important meetings in the camera of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security on March 18, when it was requested after a meeting with the founder of the jail party, Imran Khan.
The party had demanded the government to arrange a meeting between its leaders and the founder of PTI, which is imprisoned in Adiala jail in Rawalpindi.
However, KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandpur participated in his ability as a representative of the province.

‘The chapter of dialogue with the government is now closed’
In January this year, PTI founder Imran Khan ended the negotiations with the government due to failure to set up a judicial commission to investigate the incidents from November 9, 2023, to investigate the incidents from November 24 to November 27, 2024.
Talks between the Pakistan Muslim League -N -led government and PTI began in an attempt to reduce political tensions at the end of December last year. However, PTI ended talks with the government after holding three sessions.

The PTI leader said that his party’s committee had begun talks with good faith, but on the other hand neither good nor showed intentions.
The PTI, which also presented its written charter of requirements, refused to participate in the fourth round of talks, citing the failure of the government’s failure to form a judicial commission to investigate the May 9 riots and the November 2024 protest.
