LONDON: British Prime Minister Kerry Starr has said that Russian President Vladimir Putin will eventually have to come to the negotiating table, calling on world leaders to strengthen Ukraine’s support and maintain pressure on Moscow.
The British leader told about 26 fellow leaders in a group call, hosted by that they should focus on strengthening Ukraine, protecting any ceasefire and maintaining pressure on Moscow.
He said, “Ukrainian President Wolodmeer Zelannsky said,” Once again, it was shown, and there is no doubt that Ukraine is a party of peace by accepting a 30 -day unconditional ceasefire. “
“But Putin is trying to delay, saying that a strict study must be done before the ceasefire.”
And he insisted: “Sooner or later, Putin will have to come to the table.”
He added that the military chief will meet again in the UK on Thursday when the alliance moves to the operational phase.
He said, “The group that was found this morning is a big group, more than two weeks ago, we have a strong collective determination, and new promises were made on the table this morning.”
Diplomatic pressure on Russia
Ukrainian President Wolodmeer Zillsky has warned that Russia aims to achieve a “strong position” before any ceasefire, more than three years before attacking his country.
“They want to improve their situation in the battlefield,” Zlinski told reporters in Kiev.
The ceasefire proposal by the Trump team came when Russia has a hand in several areas along the front in Ukraine.
The Russian leader did not pledge an immediate ceasefire proposed by the United States rather than the situation.
But Zilnsky insisted that Putin “is lying about how the ceasefire is very complicated.”
French President Emmanuel Macron on Saturday called for a joint US and European pressure on Russia to accept the proposed ceasefire.
The European Commission’s President, Ursola Van Dare Lean, said in a message on X that Russia must show that “it is ready to support a ceasefire that makes a fair and lasting peace.”
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Friday that he was “cautiously hopeful” about reaching peace, but more work was needed.
The fighting continued overnight, Russia claimed that it had taken two more villages in its Korad Border region, where it had launched an attack to regain the seized area.
Moscow this week has called for a large section of the land that Ukraine originally acquired in Western Kars.
The Russian Ministry of Defense said that the soldiers took control of the villages of Zulishaka and Rabanshina – west of the town of North and the West in the west of the town of Sidza, which Moscow again claimed by Moscow again.
‘Stop violence’
Kiev said his air force has dropped 130 Iranian -made Russian -made Shahid drone more than 14 regions of the country overnight.
Starter and Macron have led to efforts to collect a so -called “coalition” since the beginning of direct talks with Moscow last month.
They say the group is essential – with US assistance – to provide security guarantee to Ukraine by preventing Putin from violating any ceasefire.
The star and Macron have said they are willing to put British and French troops to the ground in Ukraine, though it is unclear whether other countries are ready to do so.
Earlier this week, Russia once again rejected the idea of foreign troops working as a peacekeepers in Ukraine.
But Macron said on Saturday: “If the Ukrainian coalition tells the forces to live in their territory, it is not up to Russia whether it accepts or not.”
The star has said that he welcomes any offer offering for unity, increasing the possibility that some countries can contribute to logistics or surveillance.
However, Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni reiterated that Italy’s “participation in a potential military force on earth was not considered.”
US President Donald Trump appointed Keith Kilog as a special envoy to Ukraine on Saturday.
During Trump’s first term, Kellogg, a former national security adviser, was previously described as a special envoy to both Ukraine and Russia.
However, he was excluded from recent talks in Saudi Arabia about the end of the war, citing a senior Russian official in the United States, saying that Putin considered him a supporter of Ukraine.
