Lt. Gen. Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), said on Wednesday that a clearance operation has been launched after the Jaffar Express train attacked and hijacked, which has been completed with all the dead terrorists.
Talking to a private news channel, Director General Inter Services Public Relations Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry confirmed the completion of this complex operation, explaining that Pakistan Air Force (PAF), Special Services Group (SSG), Army and Frontier Corps (FC) and Frontier Corps.
Authorities said that dozens of militants belonging to the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) blew up the railway track and attacked the Jaffar Express on Tuesday, in which more than 400 passengers were picked up.
The DGISPR said, “All 33 terrorists have been sent to hell … No passenger was harmed during a clearance operation.” However, before the clearance operation, 21 passengers were martyred by the terrorists.
Explaining the details of the incident, Lieutenant General Chaudhry said that the terrorists targeted the railway track in Bolan on March 11, stopped Jafar Express and took the passengers hostage. “The militants used hostages, including women and children, as a human shield,” he added.
In addition, he said the attackers kept the hostages in groups with suicide bombers. He added, “The suicide bombers were taken out by the security forces’ snakes.”
He revealed, “During a clearance operation, terrorists were in touch with their facilitators and masterminds based in Afghanistan by satellite phones.”
“About 100 passengers were rescued safely from terrorists yesterday evening, and even today, a large number of passengers have been recovered,” he added.
He said that all the terrorists at the scene were killed, however, according to the standard operating procedure, the bomb disposal squad is being cleared of train and area.
In addition, LT General Chowdhury said that hostages were also being collected in nearby areas during the clearance operation.
Explaining the final clearance operation, the ISPR chief said that the ISPR chief said that the armed forces cleared all the bogies one by one and “sent 33 terrorists to hell”.
He added, “No one is allowed to create innocent people of Pakistan in the streets, trains, buses or markets because of their misleading ideology.”

Emergency measures
Spokesman Shahid Rind said that the Balochistan government has implemented emergency measures, and all the institutions have been mobilized to deal with the situation.
