Pakistan Tehreek Justice (PTI) founder Umar Khan has written an “second open letter” to Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir, in which he raises concerns that he is the country’s largest. We describe as targeting the political party.
“I wrote an open letter to the Army Chief (AAP) with sincere intentions for the betterment of the country and the nation, which aims to eliminate the growing division between the army and the people. However, this reaction is extremely irresponsible and It was irrelevant, “reads the open letter posted on Khan’s X’s account.
He said that he is the former Prime Minister and the leader of the “country’s most popular and largest political party”, and has devoted his entire life to the nation to recognize the global scale.
“My 55 -year public life and my 30 -year income since the 1970s has been completely transparent. My life and death are fully affiliated with Pakistan.”
Khan expressed his concerns about the image of the army and the possible consequences of the widespread differences between the people and the army, calling them the reason for writing the letter.
Referring to his first letter to the Army Chief, the founder of PTI said that 90 % of the people would have supported the six points they had highlighted in their initial mistakes if they were advised.
In the letter, a cricketer politician alleged that the government was manipulated in the election results through rigging before the pool. “Authorities approve the 26th Constitutional Amendment by Parliament to overcome the judiciary and PECA [Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act] To silence the disagreement, “he added.
He noted that political instability and the “perhaps right” policy caused the country’s economy in chaos. Khan regrets that the country’s “largest political party” is being targeted and all state institutions are being used for political engineering and revenge.
Referring to his imprisonment, he claimed that he had been kept in isolation for 20 days and was deprived of sunlight.
“My exercise equipment, television, and even newspapers have been snatched. They ban access to my books whenever they want. In addition to these 20 days, I was closed for 40 more hours. In months, I have been allowed to talk to my sons only three times.
In addition, he said that his party members travel long distances to meet him, yet he was refused to reach despite judicial directives. He added, “Only a handful of people have been allowed to see me in the last six months. Even despite the clear orders of the Islamabad High Court, my wife is not allowed to meet me.”
Meanwhile, he claimed that more than 2,000 of our workers, supporters, and party leaders are still waiting for bail hearing, the judges have deliberately delayed their cases.
He added, “Draconian law like PECA has been imposed on social media and the Internet to control free speech. As a result, Pakistan’s GSP+ status is now in danger. “
First letter
It should be noted that the deposed Prime Minister, in his first letter, urged the Army Chief to revise the policies and demand the formation of a judicial commission.
According to Khan’s lawyer Faisal Chaudhry, “fake elections” were addressed in the six -point letter and the alleged promotion of money launders, the 26th Constitutional Amendment and the decision of the Al -Qadir Trust case were discussed.
However, after the first letter to the Army Chief, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan rejected the concept of “policy shift”, saying that Imran wrote this letter in his ability as a former prime minister.
Rana Sanaullah, adviser on the Prime Minister’s public and political affairs, has claimed that Khan’s letter was intended to create a distinction between the army and the people or to borrown misunderstandings in the order of the army. – He challenged the former Premier to be involved in the political struggle only in Parliament.
The letter came weeks after meeting with PTI leaders – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, in which the party chairman said he He discussed the overall security situation.
It was also important because the former ruling party ended its talks with the PML-N-led government last month, in which the PTI demanded two things-May 9, 2023 and 24 The release of judicial commissions on November 27 as well as “all political prisoners”, including Khan.
In December last year, Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), said that the desire of any political leader for the power of any political leader should not be more important than the interests of Pakistan. –
The comments of the top spokesperson for ISPR have come in response to a question about the backdoor talks between PTI and the establishment.
“All political parties and leaders are respected for us,” he said during a media briefing. No individual, his politics and desire for power are above Pakistan. “
