ISLAMABAD: At least six people were killed and more than two dozen were injured in dust storms and heavy rains in different parts of Pakistan on Tuesday.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), moisture streams were constantly entering the upper and central areas, and a western wave is expected to enter the upper parts of the country on May 28.
As a result, thunderstorms, rain and isolated heavy flickers were expected in many areas with possible hailstorms, including Kashmir, Gilgit -Baltistan, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Swat, and several other cities and districts.
The advisory has warned that storms of storms, dust storms, hail storms and lightning can damage loose structures such as poles, trees, vehicles and solar panels.
In Muzaffarabad, a cloud Bristow attacked the Bhilgran area, killing three people and leaving one person missing, the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) in a statement.
Initial studies have revealed that 30 to 35 houses were completely destroyed. Rescue goods have been sent to the affected population.
Meanwhile, two people were killed and at least 15 were injured in weather incidents in Punjab. During the storm, a car accident on Ghazi Road in Atak caused one death and five injuries.
Rescue sources said a 10 -year -old girl was killed when a wall collapsed due to a dust storm on the old Shujaabad Road in Multan.
After the wall collapsed, three children were injured in the Haku area of Hajro, while a woman was injured in Shamsabad due to a roof collapse. The storm significantly damaged the crops across the district.
Rawalpindi also reported injuries to separate incidents of severe weather. Two children were injured when the roof collapsed, and when the stairs fell, another person suffered.
In addition, two people were injured after a falling wall and an unsuccessful solar panel during severe winds in Mianwali.
In Lahore, Multan, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Sargodha, and Dera Ghazi Khan, dust storms and intermittent rains resulted in the loss of power outages and infrastructure.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the rain and the hail storm killed Peshawar, Mardan, Khyber, Sobi, Swat, Abbottabad and Haripur.
One child was killed and two women were injured in a roof collapse, which was located near Manki area of Sobi District. The rescue team arrived at the scene of the incident and shifted the dead and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital.
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) reported the damage to wheat crops in Mardan and some parts of the nearby areas. The rain affected the streets, root outbursts and public infrastructure.

“We were also expecting a storm of hail after a thunderstorm, but thankfully, it didn’t,” he added.
Another resident, who was driving in the blue area after hitting the storm, shared a similar account. He reminded, “The wind was so fast that it shook the car. I had to wait under the flyover until matters were over,” he reminded.
NDMA Advisory
The National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) said in a statement that there is a high risk of land sliding in several areas, including Manrah, Kolai Palis, Upper Kohistan, Darl, Damir, Gilgit, Nagar and Hanza.
The NEOC has called on residents in weak areas to avoid unnecessary travel and be vigilant against potential risks, including land sliding, slopes failure, stones and ground reduction.
Negative weather conditions can affect transport and infrastructure, which can urge local authorities and residents to be vigilant.
Authorities advised people to inform people through social media, local news and public updates. Citizens are encouraged to follow the Pak NDMAster alert app for real -time information and safety guidelines.
Passengers are advised to be careful in the affected areas, while emergency reaction teams are on the standby to handle any incident.
The NDMA keeps closely monitoring the situation and suggests that citizens be recommended to remain updated through government advice.
