Rawalpindi: Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek Justice (PTI), on Tuesday ordered the party to immediately replace the appointments given by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Junaid Akbar.
Khan also said that if a decision was taken by the party’s committee, the KP Speaker should submit his resignation.
Khan’s statement was cited by PTI leader Azam Swati, who today met him in Rawalpindi’s Adiala jail.
Talking to the media outside the jail premises, Swati said he met two other leaders with the PTI founder.
He said that Khan expressed confidence in the loyalty of Salman Akram Raja with the party and said that the latter would not be against the leadership of PTI.
He also said that he informed the PTI founder about corruption in Mansehra, adding that he urged Khan to bring the party’s committee to bring forward the issues.
It is worth mentioning here that the former ruling party formed a three -member committee to keep an eye on the KP government and ensure that none of the cabinet members can be involved in the misuse of power or corruption in the province.
According to the news, Khan advised former Governor Shah Farman, senior lawyer Qazi Anwar and Malakand’s party member, Junaid Akbar Khan to be part of the committee.
However, Akbar was later removed from the committee and was replaced by a brigade (retired) Mossad Abbasi. Abbasi is currently working as Special Assistant to KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandpur on Anti -Corruption.
Talking to the media, Swati added that the founder of PTI has also ordered the immediate overthrow of the appointments made by PTI President Akbar. He added that he told Khan that Akbar was doing a good job as a party leader in the PTI -ruled province.
In addition, Khan was also briefed on PTI issues in Punjab, Swati said. He said that Aaliyah Hamza was being obstructed. He claimed that Sardar Khan and Ikramullah were also facing allegations of corruption.
Commenting on Khan’s prison period, Swati said he would have to release for the PTI founder.
The former minister said that KPCM was not a silent spectator on corruption, and he met Khan after receiving permission from Gandpur.
PTI Secretary General Raja also addressed the media outside the jail. He said that after Swati’s statement, he would discuss issues related to Akbar.
Raja said that complaints can be discussed against the leadership of Punjab. However, regardless of some minor differences, he refused to quarrel under the leadership of Punjab.
Prior to this development, PTI leader, who had gathered in Adiala Jail to meet Khan, had argued with jail officials after several leaders were not allowed to enter the premises.
The leaders included Swati, Nadia Khatak, Mubashir Owan, Raja, Niazullah Niazi, Faisal Malik, and Shoaib Shaheen. However, the jail administration only allowed Swati, Khatak and Mabasir to meet the PTI founder.
Raja criticized that the jail officials were choosing people to meet Khan despite judicial orders, in which Adiala’s administration was instructed to follow the list provided by him, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan or Intzar Panjatha.
After exchange of harsh words, the jail administration allowed some PTI leaders to meet Khan.
Last week, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) restored the visit to PTI founder Imran Khan, which allowed people to meet them every Tuesday and Thursday.
Only those whose names are provided by the PTI founder’s coordinator Raja will be allowed to meet.
The latest progress in the legal story about the rights of the former prime minister’s visit, IHC’s acting Chief Justice Sarfraz Dougar has heard joint petitions on the aforementioned matter.
The three -member bench, including Justice Arbab Mohammad Tahir and Justice Muhammad Azam Khan, were constituted by Justice Dogar last week, who also merged with various petitions regarding the rights of Khan’s meeting in response to a petition filed by Jail Superintendent Abdul Ghafoor Ajam.
