KARACHI: The Pakistan Roung Federation (PRF) has been accused of discriminating with the players of Balochistan by excluding the next 35th national sports.

According to Advocate High Court, M Rahim Mandokhel, the Balochistan Roung Association has sent legal notice to the PRF and the Director General of Pakistan Sports Board, while the latter has requested immediate action against the federation.

The notice states that the PRF leadership, especially Rizwan -ul -Hak (Chairman PRF) and Hamdan Nazir (President PRF), are engaged in illegal removal against the players of the Office Bears and Balochistan Raving Association (BRA) on the basis of racial discrimination.

“During the 34th National Games held in Quetta, the BRA successfully organized programs to launch a Qiblary in Rawal Lake in Islamabad under the PRF umbrella, which received considerable funds from the Balochistan department.

However, after the national sports, PRF officials, conspiring with the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA), ensured the BRA excluded from the Balochistan Olympic Association elections on June 10, 2023.

The notice says, “As a result, the 30 -year membership of the BRA was abolished, reinforcing the PRF’s discriminatory policies, which aims to backward the running community of Balochistan and jeopardize the future of its officials and players.”

Similarly, in the PRF elections held on 29-01-2022 (2022-2026) elections, PRF officials deliberately eliminated BRA nominations and representatives, maintaining a permanent sample of racial prejudice and exclusion.

“These measures violate the rules of the International Roung Federation (FISA), the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Pakistan Sports Board (PSB), and the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA).”

Also, the PRF violated the 37th National Men’s Rowing Championships held in Islamabad by December 6-8 last year in Islamabad and the fourth women’s Rowing Championships, except for BRA officials and players.

Now, as a part of its constant discrimination and discrimination policies, PRF is once again trying to remove bad officials and ethnic players from the next 35th National Games 2025, which is due to take place in Sindh.

“The PRF’s deliberately backwardness of BRA players further separates local youths in Balochistan, and attracts them to negative effects such as drug use and other harmful activities.

The notice states, “This is especially notorious for the PRF, considering that the brace players are training at Hayat Durrani Water Sports Academy (HDWSA), which is Pakistan’s largest international row, canoing, and Keking Olympic Sports Academy.”

The notice states that the PRF has no row boats and water racing equipment, and it always depends on the government and the forces to organize national programs. “Bad, as a governing body for running in Balochistan, has actively promoted Roung for more than three decades. It is officially affiliated with the PRF, the Balochistan Olympic Association, and has been officially registered with the Balochistan Sports Board.

The BRA said, “Nevertheless, the PRF has deliberately overthrew the brawl players, which has damaged their morale and endanger their future in the game.” The BRA demanded immediate ban on the PRF, restoring the BRA’s official identity, initiating legal proceedings and immediate disciplinary proceedings against the PRF leadership, fair representation of the BRA and participating in all the National Riving Championships and its related activities, and Rizwan al -Nazar and Rizwan al -Nazar.
