On Thursday, multilateral opposition leaders launched their two -day conference in Islamabad when they forced them to go to a local hotel, which was sealed by authorities.
The program, which was organized under the banner of the Tahrik Tahfaz Constitution of Pakistan (TTAP), allegedly stopping the leaders under government pressure, measured the gate.
The conference, now focuses on political instability, constitutional violations and human rights concerns.
During the first day, the Opposition Alliance discussed various issues, including freedom of expression and political instability in the country, constitutional violations and human rights violations.
Meanwhile, when Islamabad authorities today sealed the local hotel to prevent the opposition parties from being held conference, some leaders climbed over the gate to enter the venue.
According to Geo News, the administration had already closed the premises. Police told the participants that such a gathering was not allowed.
After refusing official approval, some opposition leaders scored the hotel door and opened the main gate from the inside, allowing others to enter.
Among those who managed to enter included opposition leaders.
Subsequently, opposition leaders announced that they would keep the conference in the hotel lobby, while police personnel and FC units were outside.
‘Movement is not about the revolution’
Addressing the conference, the Chief of the SIC condemned the efforts to disrupt the program, saying efforts were made to prevent the gathering.
He criticized the sanctions on political dialogue, saying that even a small group of individuals could no longer talk to the capital.
Raza highlighted that the participants included members of the National Assembly and the Senate. Expressing his concern over the state of democracy, he said that at least it is being assured that the voices of constitutional supremacy are still being raised.
PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has claimed that people have raised their lives and their voices cannot be silenced. He highlighted the opposition conference, highlighting the growing public differences against the current administration.
Gohar, while talking to reporters in the federal capital, emphasized the need for judicial freedom and the rule of law, emphasizing that a fair and impartial judiciary is essential for democracy.
He revealed that a suggestion was given to hold a conference at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House, but the committee decided at the present place.
He made it clear that this movement is not about the revolution but about raising the voice of the people, which has already taken hold.
Criticizing the government, he remarked that those living in power lack public support and legal status.
Severe political crisis
Former Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar addressed the opposition parties’ conference, criticizing the government for suppressing disagreement and banning political freedoms.
He said that liberalism cannot be silenced and has vowed not to allow such sanctions. Khokhar accused the authorities of preventing Sindh’s water rights and denying the province’s proper shares.
Condemning the opposition’s voices, he said the constitutional violation continues. He also criticized efforts to stop the conference.
The former senator gave remarks, “The purpose was to stop the conference,” he added that the government claims to maintain democracy, but is concerned about the opposition gathering.
He emphasized that the purpose of the conference is to formulate an agenda for the betterment of the country.
According to Khokhar, Pakistan is facing a severe political crisis, which has no sign of constitutional rule. He emphasized that the social agreement between the state and its citizens has been broken.
Referring to the prevention of the Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), he said it was used to stop the free speech. He currently demanded the resignation of those holding key government positions.
The politician also emphasized the need to address the concerns of the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Sindh and Balochistan. He expressed his commitment that the constitutional movement would continue.
“It doesn’t matter how many policemen are deployed or the doors are closed, we will remain in our mission,” he said.
‘Blind and deaf from facts’
Speaking at a conference of opposition parties, the deputy rich of Jamaat -e -Islami, Liakat Baloch, criticized the government for disrupting the democratic process.
He said that those living in power become “blind and deaf for the facts around them,” he said. The G -leader expressed deep concern over the threats posed by the federation.
The JI leader strongly condemned the freedom of expression, and declared them unacceptable. He warned that when basic rights were taken away, people were forced to find alternative means to listen to their voices.
Ignoring provincial concerns, highlighting the threats of federal authorities, he emphasized that such negligence could have serious consequences.
He remembered the active role of his party in a coalition like Muthaida Majlis-Alam (MMA), and said that he always played a constructive role.
The Baloch called on all democratic forces to maintain the sanctity of the constitution, democracy and public mandate. He emphasized the need to avoid repeating past mistakes and demanded a consensus on the national agenda.
The GI leader emphasized that the constitution should be maintained at all costs and the need to fight for judicial independence should be emphasized.
