The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Asim Munir has made a formal visit to China, where he continued a high level meeting to deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries.
According to the military’s media wing, during its stay in Beijing, the COA met with senior Chinese political and military leadership, including Vice President Han Zheng and Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
The ISPR said that under the China -Pakistan Economic Transit (CPEC), regional security, global dynamics focused and focused on cooperation.
Read the ISPR statement, “Both sides expressed satisfaction over the depth of bilateral engagement and reaffirmed their joint commitment to sovereignty, multilateral cooperation, and long -term regional stability.”
It said that the Chinese leadership praised Pakistan’s armed forces for flexibility and an important partner for peace in South Asia.
On the military front, the COAS met with General Chen Hoi and other top officials of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), along with Lieutenant General Kai Zoor, Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC).
These discussions improved defense modernization, counter -terrorism efforts, joint military training, and institutional harmony. The two sides took special emphasis on improving operational cooperation to tackle hybrid and international threats.
The Chinese army confirmed its full confidence in the power of bilateral defense partnerships and recognized Pakistan’s important role in promoting regional stability.
Field Marshal Munir thanked the Chinese leadership for his unwavering support, confirmed that Pakistan was committed to deepening military cooperation “in all domains”.
Upon arriving at the PLA Army headquarters, COAS was presented with a Guard of Honor, a symbol of long -standing Kamardi between the two armed forces.
“This visit reflects the growing depth of political relations between the two countries and indicates its joint commitment to promote regional peace through a permanent, high -level engagement,” the army’s media wing added.
‘China supports Pakistan’s counter -terrorism efforts’
According to the Chinese state -run Sinhava, at a meeting with Coas Munir on Thursday, FM Wang Yi said that the Pakistani military stands as a strict protector of national interests and a strong supporter of China -Pakistan friendship.
According to Sinhava, he also expressed the expectations of the Pakistani army’s continued contribution to bilateral relations.
Wang said that China and Pakistan have promoted mutual cooperation on issues related to each other’s basic interests, Wang said that China is ready to put more consensus on the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries and to provide maximum benefits to both people and to give more importance to regional peace and stability.
Wang said, “China supports Pakistan’s enthusiastic efforts to tackle terrorism in every way and hopes that the Pakistani army will continue its efforts to ensure the safety of Chinese personnel, plans and institutions in Pakistan.”
Kos Munir said that the development of friendly cooperation with China is the consensus of the entire Pakistani society, and that Pakistan sincerely praised China’s long -standing support for its socio -economic development.
