ISLAMABAD: According to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), heavy rains have claimed the lives of at least six people during the last 24 hours and injured five others in different parts of the country, which has reached 258 from the monsoon season of the transit season.
In its report released on Thursday, the NDMA said three deaths occurred in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where five people were also injured. Meanwhile, two deaths were reported in Islamabad and one in Sindh due to rain -related incidents.
The NDMA revealed that since the beginning of the recent monsoon magic, a total of 258 people have been killed in Pakistan and 616 were injured.
The deceased includes 89 men, 46 women, and 123 children. The injured include 243 men, 170 women, and 203 children, who highlight the humanitarian tool due to the ongoing weather emergency.
Rains have also damaged large property and livestock. In the last 24 hours alone, 22 houses were reported destroyed, and 36 cattle animals were killed. Since the beginning of the monsoon season, a total of 1,027 houses have been demolished, while 364 animals have been killed.
Earlier on Wednesday, Punjab was the worst province with 139 deaths and 477 injured, followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (60 deaths) and Sindh (24 deaths). The casualties included 16 in Balochistan, 6 in Islamabad, 5 in Gilgit -Baltistan and 2 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The main reason for the deaths is the end of houses (143 deaths), followed by flash floods (41), sinking events (36), power strike (13), electronic (12), and land slides (4).
The most disturbing incident happened at the Babusar Top, where Cloud Bristol caused a deadly flood, which tried to rescue a family, a three -year -old boy, Abdul Dadi. The deceased also had Dr. Mashal, who jumped into Torin to save the baby.
Rescue Operations
According to official data, the NDMA conducted 148 rescue operations in the flood -hit areas from June 26 to July 24, 2025, which, according to official data, saved at least 1,777 lives across the country.

Man’s body flowed with flood water
