President Donald Trump on Thursday announced that he had given social media platform Taxtok another 90 days to find a non -Chinese buyer or ban the United States.
Trump, imposing a ban on the third time, posted his truth on social platform, saying, “I have just signed an executive order extending the deadline for the closure of the Takk for 90 days (September 17, 2025).”
A federal law that banned Takka’s sale or national security basis was set to take place a day before Trump’s inauguration.
The Republican, whose 2024 election campaign relied heavily on social media, has said that he is fond of the video sharing app.
“I have a little hot in my heart for Takok,” Trump said in a NBC news interview in early May. ” “If it needs an extension, I will be ready to extend it.”
Tactok welcomed Trump’s decision Thursday.
“We are grateful to President Trump’s leadership and help to ensure that Tukk is available to more than 170 million US users,” said a platform.
Digital Cold War?
Trump said in May that a group of buyers is ready to pay “too much money” to Tychtok’s owner by Taektok’s owner for US operations in video clip sharing sensation.
Trump has repeatedly reduced the risks that are in danger of tickets, says he is confident of finding buyers for the app’s US business.
The White House announced on Monday that Trump would throw a largely popular video sharing app, which has about two billion global users, one more lifeline.
The administration said in a statement, during this new grace period, the administration will “work to ensure the closing of the deal so that the American people continue to use Tukk with the assurance that their data is safe and secure.”
Independent analyst Rob Undrale said that the president “just doesn’t encourage him to do anything about Tukk.” “Unless they come to the bad side of it, Taktok will probably be in good shape.”
Trump had long supported the ban or discrimination, but he overthrew his position and vowed that he would defend the platform after believing that he helped gain the support of young voters in the November elections.
In encouraging national security concerns and the belief in Washington that Takok controlled the Chinese government, the ban took place a day before the inauguration of Trump on January 19, in which Baitidance did not try to find any sweaters.
“Techtok” has become a symbol of enmity with US -China tech, a flashpoint of the new Cold War for digital control, said Shivta Singh, Assistant Professor of Information System at Warwick Business School in the UK. “
The president announced a delay of the first 75 days in the ban on taking office. The second extension pushed the deadline on June 19. Now the deadline is September 17.
Tariff riot
Trump said in April that China agreed to a Tactics sale agreement if it would not have been a dispute over Beijing’s prices.
Betdance has confirmed the US government’s talks, saying that key issues need to be resolved and that any agreement is “subject to approval under Chinese law.”
Possible solutions include the alleged US investors to be included in a new independent global tricktok company in the Baitus Roll.
US additional investors, including Oracle and Private Equality Firm Blackstone, will be brought to the board to reduce the part of the Betdance in the new tricktok.
Most of the tickets are already located on Oracle servers, and the company chairman, Larry Allison, is a longtime Trump ally.
The uncertainty remains, especially what will happen to the ticket algorithm.
“Techtok is like a Harry Potter without his algorithm – without a stick – it is not so powerful,” said Calis Chakrang, a principal analyst at Formatter.
Despite the turmoil, the tricktok continues with the usual business.
On Monday, the platform developed a new “symphony” for advertisers to convert words or images into video pieces for advertisers.
