St. Petersburg: President Vladimir Putin has refused to comment on whether Israel and the United States can try to kill Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, emphasizing that the Iranian people are behind the leadership in Tehran.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has openly speculated that Israeli military attacks could change the government in Iran, while US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that the United States knows where Khamenei is hiding but Washington is not going to hit it yet.
When asked what would be his reaction, if Israel killed Khamenei with the help of the United States, Putin said: “I don’t even want to talk about this possibility. I don’t want to.”
When pressure was put, Putin admitted that he had heard remarks about the possibility of killing Khamenei, but repeated that he did not want to talk to them.
“We see that in Iran today, with all the complexities of the internal political process … that the country’s political leadership is stabilizing society,” Putin told editors of the senior news agency in the northern Russian city of St. Petersburg.
Putin said that all parties should look for ways to eliminate hostilities in a way that ensures Iran’s peace of peace and the right of Israel’s Jewish state’s unconditional security.
Putin was speaking when Trump estimated the world that the United States would be involved in the bombing of Israeli Iranian nuclear and missile locations, while the Iranian capital’s residential residents left the city on the sixth day of the airstrike.
He said he was in touch with both Trump and Netanyahu, and Moscow had shared his views about resolving the conflict, while Iran’s citizen ensuring continued access to nuclear energy.
Iranian nuclear facilities
Asked about the possibility of a government change in Iran, Putin said that before going on such a route, someone would have to guess whether the main purpose was actually. Is being acquired.
He added that Iran’s underground uranium enrichment facilities remained good.
“These underground factories, they are present, nothing has happened to them,” Putin said.
“I feel like it will be the right for everyone to find ways to eliminate the enemies and find ways to reach an agreement for all parties to reach this conflict,” he said. “In my opinion, usually, such a solution can be found.”
Asked if Russia was ready to provide modern weapons to Iran to defend Iran against Israeli attacks, Putin said that the strategic partnership agreement signed with Tehran in January was not involved in military cooperation, and Iran had not made any formal request for assistance.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ribikov said Wednesday that Moscow was urging the United States not to attack Iran, and warned that such an operation would completely destabilize the Middle East.
A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry also warned that the Israelis threatened to affect the nuclear destruction that attacked Iranian nuclear facilities.
Putin said Israel has assured Moscow that Russian experts who helped create two additional reactors at the Bosher nuclear power plant in Iran will not be harmed in any air strikes.
He added that Moscow has “good relations with Iran” and that Russia can protect Iran’s interests in the field of nuclear energy.
Russia has offered to take enriched uranium from Iran and provide nuclear fuel for its civil energy program.
“It is possible to ensure Iran’s interests in the peaceful nuclear energy sector, and at the same time, addressing Israel’s concerns about its security,” Putin said. “We have outlined these (our thoughts) with our partners from the United States, Israel and Iran.”
