Today, Pakistan is celebrating Eid -ul -Fadha with a new national commitment to unity among the deep religious enthusiasm, the spirit of sacrifice, and the ongoing regional challenges.
As the first Eid after standing between Pakistan and India, equipped with nuclear weapons, there has been a deep demand for solidarity, peace and sympathy.
The day began with special prayers for Eid in mosques, wings and open places across the country. The worshipers offered the welfare of the Muslim Ummah and a collective delivery for peace, development and prosperity in Pakistan and the wider region.
In his sermons, religious scholars considered the sustainable heritage of the Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and the Prophet, emphasizing the need for patience, unity, and spiritual flexibility in the face of troubles.
The ritual of sacrifice is also being seen across the country, in which families and communities have sacrificed animals in which in remembrance of the unauthorized obedience shown by Abraham (AS).
Those who offer the sacrifice are advised to distribute the meat to the poor, and reinforce the message that Eid is a time of inclusion, charity and shared blessings.
In this regard, strict security arrangements have been implemented at federal and provincial officials, especially large urban centers and places hosted by major parties. The local administration has also ensured smooth garbage management works for three days of the EID, which strengthens both the urban responsibility and the social spirit.
In a comprehensive Eid message, Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif congratulated the nation and the Islamic world on the holy occasion, saying: “The message of Eid -ud -din is beyond the sacrifice of animals. It teaches us to abandon personal interests for high national purposes.”
He emphasized that the story of Ibrahim (AS) and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) teaches sacrifice, obedience and devotion as a strong and united society.
He noted, “The spirit of Eid -udha gives rise to the values of patience, courage and strength that can work as the basis of national development.” Reflecting the recent tensions with India, he said, “Just as the nation stands united against aggression, we must now be determined to overcome our internal challenges.”
The Prime Minister also drew attention to the oppressed people of Palestine and Indian, in which Jammu and Kashmir was occupied illegally. “We must remember our Palestinian and Kashmiri brothers and sisters who face many difficulties,” he said. Pakistan stands firmly in their struggle with them. ” He called for national unity, civil responsibility, and a strong, self -sufficient Pakistan to give priority to collective interest over personal interests to realize the dream of Pakistan.
President Asif Ali Zardari also warmly congratulated the nation and the Muslim Ummah. In his message, he emphasized that Eid -ul -Dadha raised the everlasting values of faith, sacrifice and brotherhood through the Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and the Prophet Ismail (as).
He said, “This day reminds us that there is no sacrifice in the way of Allah.”
He emphasized that the teachings of Eid should be integrated into the daily life – not only through rituals, but through action. “It is important that we support the backward people, take care of the sick, and form a society based on sympathy,” he said. He also urged the citizens to “get rid of hatred and prejudice, and work sincerely for the prosperity of Pakistan.”
President Zardari emphasized the need for collective efforts to tackle economic challenges and confirmed the country’s commitment to the welfare of the Muslim Ummah. “Together, we can form a Pakistan that is described through unity, mutual respect and joint development,” he added.
Special EID programs will be broadcast on public and private media, while newspapers will publish EID’s dedicated supplements that highlight the spiritual and social importance of this opportunity in the current geopolitical climate.
