Nottingham: Harry Brooke’s Rapid Fifty took the first wicket in Test cricket after taking the hosts to 565-6 commanding against Zimbabwe in their one-off match in Trent Bridge on Friday.
Essex Peace Man Cook, a career that scored 321 first -class runs as an average of 19.5 before the match, was the first start of England, which inaugurated the Test innings after James Curtley in Trent Bridge in 2003.
The 27 -year -old confessed to three other fours in his first over, while Brian Bennett suffered a fine core drive along with some edges. However, Kick won only in the third over when Ben Kiran had six runs, a full-length ball for Brook in the second slip, with Zimbabwe with 31-1.
Kiran is the son of the late Zimbabwe star Kevin Corn and brother of England’s international cricketer Sam and Tom. However, Zimbabwe needs 416 overall to avoid follow-up in this four-day match, with Bennett (36 not out) and Captain Craig Aaron (30 not out) the second day, taking visitors to lunch by 73-1.
Earlier, Brook usually hit the 58 -run sharp innings with just 50 balls before it was announced by England’s Captain Ben Stokes for 46 minutes in the day. Openers Zak Caroli (124) and Ben Duckett (140) scored hundreds after England resumed the Oli Pope in a commanding position of 498-3 with an unbeaten on 169.
In a Test in England, the highest runs were scored by any team in one day, since England scored 503 against South Africa at Lord’s in 1924. It was not until three figures against Pakistan in Rawalpindi in December 2022 that the top of England made hundreds of people on the first day of a test.
Zimbabwe’s goal, in his first test in England in 22 years, did not help the fact that Peace Man Richard Nagarwa sent only nine overs on Thursday and did not bowl again next Friday.
With good batting batting pitch, the game was ideally resumed, but Zimbabwe still arranged preliminary progress. The Pope added just two runs in the night score when he reached Tanaka Shivanga to delivery and withdrew.
He was brought to Stokes from his exit, and returned after a long recovery from his latest hamstring injury. Stokes was soon blessing Mazarbani, a blessing with four of his cover.
However, it was Brook that severely punished the Zimbabwe out -class attack, which struck the squares continuously from Shivanga, after which the painter was driven on the middle. The next over, Mazarbani faced the turn when Brock broke it due to the other sixes, a wonderful pak -upshot before a wonderful bridge that went out loud on the right leg.
However, the great Mazarbani bounced the Stokes (nine), in which the all -rounder brought a hook to the right leg where Corn was well caught by the judge. Brook went to Mazharbani with another six, before he won 3-143 in 24.3 overs.

On Thursday, England veteran batsman Joe Root got another milestone in his shining red ball career as he scored 13,000 runs in Test cricket.
The right -handed veteran won the milestone during the opening day of his isolation test against Zimbabwe when he tried for a single to score Victor Niachi in the first delivery of the 80th over.
Finally, after scoring 34 off 44 balls, Root in the 83rd fell victim to Mazarbani. However, his 34 -run knock was enough to take him to the South African legend church in the past, which became the fastest pace to violate the barrier of 13000 runs in the longest form.
Root got a milestone in his 153rd innings, which is less than 159 in the church. Overall, which is the only fifth batter in Root history, which scored 13,000 runs in Tests, including Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid of India, Ricky Ponting of Australia and South Africa’s church.
Batting Great Tendulkar has the highest scorer record in the longest formats (15921), while Root is the only active player on the Eliosite list and is considered one of the favorite Indian legends to overtake.
