Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Monday that the preparation of the extraordinary state of the Pakistan Navy during the Operation Bonean Um-Maros, which launched against India’s indiscriminate aggression, prevented the enemy from launching any maritime aggression.
Addressing naval officers and personnel at the Karachi Naval Dockyard, the Prime Minister praised the Navy’s important role in protecting the communication letters and ensuring uninterrupted flow of maritime trade.
The Pakistan Armed Forces launched a massive retaliation, called “Operation Bonyan Um-Marsus”, and targeted several Indian military targets in several regions.
The strikes described by the personnel as “precise and proportional” were carried out in response to India’s continued aggression in the Line of Control (LoC) and Pakistan, which New Delhi claimed that “terror targets” were aimed at.
Pakistan dropped six Indian fighter jets, including three Rafale, and dozens of drones. After at least 87 hours, the agitated war by India ended May 10 with a ceasefire agreement by the United States.
According to the ISPR, during the recent military confrontation, Indian strikes, including 13 personnel and 40 civilians, were involved in a total of 53 people, including 13 people.
The military confrontation between the two countries began with an attack in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) in which 26 tourists were killed, India accused of attacking without any evidence.
According to a statement issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) today, the Prime Minister visited the Pakistan Navy Dockyard today to pay tribute to the Pakistan Navy for its important role in the operation against India.
Upon arrival, Premier was received by Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf. Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir and Air Staff Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sudhu were also present.
During this visit, Prime Minister Shahbaz boarded Type -054A Class Destroyer PNS Timor, where he was briefed on the Pakistan Navy’s strategic acquaintance, operational works, and remarkable partnerships during the ongoing operation.
He spoke to Pakistan Navy officers and sailors, praised his ideal professionalism, war preparation, and a strong commitment to national defense. He reached the deep definition of the country and confirmed the irresponsible confidence in the capabilities of Pakistan’s armed forces.
Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister praised the Pakistan Navy for its reaction to its commitment to currency, operational skills and effective obstacles to dealing with economic maritime threats.
Recalling the proud heritage of the Navy of decisive actions, he emphasized that the Pakistan Navy is fully capable of performing high -intensity works, whenever and wherever needed.
He added that the use of modern technology of Pakistan Navy has significantly increased its performance. Shahbaz remarked, “Even now the enemy has admitted that the Pakistan Navy has changed the regional balance of power in the Navy.”
The Prime Minister also pointed out that the all three armed services, the military, the air force and the Navy made it impossible to cause any real harm to the opponent.
‘Trump a man of peace’
In the same address, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif also thanked US President Donald Trump for brokering the ceasefire between Pakistan and India.
“Trump is a man of peace. Trump and his team made sincere efforts to ensure peace in the region and played a vital role in the ceasefire.”
Prime Minister Shahbaz said, “I want to thank President Trump for his heart and I am sure he played the role of a welfare friend.”
He reminded that the US President has also offered a sincere role in resolving the Kashmir dispute between Islamabad and New Delhi.
