PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Thursday announced a special aid package for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa people who accepted or injured in the recent Pak India armed conflict.
According to the package, the families of the martyrs will get Rs 5 million each, while the injured will receive Rs 1 lakh every Rs.
Regarding the information, Chief Minister’s Advisor, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, said that the announcement was made by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandpur while addressing the 32nd meeting of the provincial cabinet.
Cabinet members, Chief Secretary, Secretary, Senior Member Board of Revenue, Administrative Secretaries and others attended the meeting.
The Chief Minister paid tribute to the armed forces for giving a strong and effective response to Indian aggression.
“The armed forces and the entire nation deserve congratulations for this remarkable victory against India,” he said.
“We salute those who were martyred as a result of Indian aggression and express their heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyrs,” he added.
He directed the members of the Provincial Assembly to harmonize with local administration officials to visit the homes of the victims and ensure immediate delivery of relief package.
Gandapur welcomed the action taken by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against the alleged financial irregularities reported in Kohistan and said it was encouraging that something had already been recovered in the matter.
He added that the provincial government would fully support the NAB in this matter and provide any documents required for investigation on a priority basis.
The Chief Minister emphasized that strict action should be taken against all persons and institutions involved in the matter.
He reiterated that according to the vision of the provincial government, the founding chairman of the party, Imran Khan, the policy of zero tolerance against corruption is pursuing.
Gandapur said that the provincial government itself will take strong action against those involved in the corruption case against another institution.
He directed the cabinet members to present the facts of the matter to the public.
The meeting also decided to set up a cabinet committee to investigate the case.
The Chief Minister himself will be the head of the committee and will include cabinet members and members of the provincial assembly.
He praised the efforts of law enforcement agencies, civil administration and jirga (mediators) members to restore the peace Incorm district.
