KARACHI: The Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and the Pakistan Business Council (PBC) Dubai signed a memorandum (MoU) on Monday aimed at establishing strategies between the business communities of Karachi and Dubai by establishing strategies and investment cooperation.
The MoU was formally signed by KCCI President Mohammad Judge Bulani and PBC Dubai Chairperson Shabir Merchant. “This partnership indicates a strategic effort to deepen trade and investment cooperation through practical initiatives such as business seminars, workshops and networking forums, jointly participating in trade delegations, jointly participating in trade delegations, and deepening trade and investment cooperation,” he said.
He added that the two organizations have agreed to distribute timely and relevant information in their respective areas related to trade policies, regulatory framework and business practices. In addition, the agreement has identified mutual support for facilitating the business visa process, providing logistic support to the business delegation, and promoting B2B interactions through digital platforms.
Bulani also praised the PBC Dubai’s move to launch a dedicated website and mobile application to support B2B match -making, which helps the business to identify potential partners more efficiently. “Such tools are necessary to enhance engagement between businessmen and investors in both markets,” he said.
Shabbir Merchant emphasized the importance of the agreement of the business communities of the two countries, saying that the MoU will not only work as a bridge between Karachi and Dubai but will also create a platform for sustainable economic growth. He added, “This will facilitate business -meaning contacts, remove obstacles, and make the way easier for businessmen and investors from both sides.”
The Chairperson of the PBC Dubai also expressed confidence that this partnership would enable Pakistani businesses to access the United Arab Emirates market more efficiently and to benefit as Dubai as a global trade and investment center. He remarked, “Through better cooperation and sharing knowledge, we can develop a flexible and mutual beneficial trading network.”
The Chairperson of the Special Committee for the implementation of MOS Junaid Ismail Makda elaborated on the procedure for resolving the dispute in the agreement. “Reconciliation provides a framework for a peaceful solution to business conflicts through mediation and mediation, which is linked to international excellent ways,” he said. He added that the MoU encourages the governments of Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates to support the efforts of both organizations by adopting facilitating policies, recognizing the role of chambers in diplomatic and economic engagement, and helping to advocate the policy to improve overall business.
