Government and opposition leaders have emphasized the need for a political alliance in the wake of the Jaffar Express terrorist attack, where militants hijacked the train in Balochistan’s Bolan.
The illegal Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) intended to attack Tuesday, detonated railway tracks and took 440 passengers hostage with security forces for a long time.
The army later announced that 33 attackers were killed during a clearance operation, while the terrorists had killed 21 passengers before the rescue began. Four security personnel were also martyred during the mission.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday said that the country’s leadership meeting will be called for consultation on the issue of terrorism, as was done after the attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar.
During a meeting with political leadership in Quetta, he said, “We need unity and national solidarity that will help the armed forces fight against terrorism and the Khwari.”
At the same time, Pakistan, without the name of the Tahrik-A-Justice (PTI), expressed regret over the language used by some elements within the country against the armed forces and Pakistan.
He warned that “poisonous propaganda against the armed forces was not acceptable and tolerable.”
Meanwhile, in his speech in the National Assembly, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Studardari said that all the political parties in the Lower House should admit that the terrorists involved in Jafar Express and other terrorist acts were their common enemy.
He said that if the political leadership fails to create a consensus on the issue, the threat would spread to the country, the entire region and the world.
Defense Minister Khawaja Asif expressed regret that the PTI has made a condition of sitting with the government against terrorism, and has demanded the release of its founder, Imran Khan on Parole First.
Addressing the Geo News’ program “Ajay Zeb Khanzada’s sixty”, he said that the government was ready to approach him for all party conferences (APC). Asif stressed that this is a national issue and should be unconditionally participated. He added that PTI insists: “No Khan, no Pakistan.”

In addition, the National Assembly also unanimously approved a resolution that strongly condemned Jafar Express’s hijacking and all the acts of terrorism that endangered people’s lives and affects peace.
Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Chadri, signed the signatures of representatives of all parties, the resolution expressed the resolution of Pakistan’s army, Pakistan Air Force, Frontier Corps, SSG and other law enforcement agencies for their unwavering commitment, clutches and sacrifices to protect the lives of the citizens.
The House vowed to take every possible step to eliminate terrorism from every corner of the country, confirmed that no group, individual and ideology that tries to destroy the country’s security, prosperity and sovereignty would not be allowed to spread fear, hatred and violence in the country’s territorial boundaries.
It has also promised not to allow any terrorist activity without any scrutiny, ensuring that anyone who tries to destabilize it faces full force of the law.
PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja described the Jaffar Express attack as a national tragedy and insisted that “distances between the people need to be fulfilled and the true voice of Pakistan should be heard”.
He said in a statement, “It is important to understand the current situation facing the country and it is time that Pakistan, especially Balochistan, to listen to the original voice of Balochistan. Instead of eliminating any party, the path of unity should be adopted.”
Senator Shobeli Faraz, the leader of the Senate and senior PTI leader, called on the APC on the issue of terrorism in Balochistan. He said that the founder of PTI should also be issued on parole and it should be invited to the proposed APC.
