Security forces have rescued 104 hostages and neutralized at least 14 terrorists who occupied the Jaffar Express in Bolan district of Balochistan, and confirmed their commitment to continue the operation until every militant was eliminated.
According to security sources, the train, along with more than 400 passengers aboard the train, was traveling from Quetta to Peshawar on Tuesday when unknown terrorists took control of their control and captured the passengers.
Security sources said the forces are conducting operations to save the rest of the hostages.
Earlier, railway officials reported that 57 passengers were shifted to Quetta from Jaffar Express early Wednesday, while 23 remained in the fish.
