ISLAMABAD: Senate Chairman Yousuf Raza Gilani on Saturday expressed disappointment over the implementation of the production orders issued by Pakistan Tehreek -e -Insaf (PTI) Senator Ajis Chaudhry.
Under the House Session, the Senate chairman ruled that such neglect for the parliamentary authority could not be allowed to maintain non -scrutiny, which was received by the lawmakers.
Gilani issued a production order for two PTI senators – Chaudhry and Aun Abbas Bopi a day earlier, but authorities only prepared a BP, which was recently arrested.
Due to the repeated implementation of Senator Chaudhry’s production orders, Gilani handed over the matter to the Senate Committee on Rules and Rules and Rules-a Standing Committee that identifies the motives created by senators’ grievances and investigating the Senate rules.
In his address to the Senate, BP thanked the Chairman for issuing his production order. He revealed that around 8am, about 20 people entered his house, raided his factory and harassed him.
He told the house that during the operation, some people forcibly entered, attacked him, and demanded his mobile phone.
He was then presented to a judge, who inquired about the allegations leveled against him. Bapi said he was accused of hunting five deer.
Expressing his disappointment, he said that instead of feeling relieved from appearing in the Senate, he is more afraid that despite the productive order, Senator Chaudhry was not yet brought to the House.
He regretted that the chairman’s orders have been neglected once again, and it has been claimed that his own production order has been implemented only to Palacet to Gilani, because authorities fear that he will not preside over the session otherwise.
BP added that he demanded the cancellation of his production order, saying he wanted to return to jail. He vowed not to participate in the proceedings unless Chaudhry was brought before the Senate, he added that he would only be released through appropriate legal channels.
When the PTI senator tried to go out after the end of his speech, Chairman Gilani stopped him and issued the decision.
