ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari said that Pakistan is committed to advancing women’s rights in accordance with constitutional provisions and international promises.
“Over the years, we have taken key steps, including domestic violence, harassment at work and the implementation of laws against gender discrimination,” he said on the occasion of International Women’s Day of March 8, 2025.
He said that Pakistan has taken steps to increase the representation of women in politics, judiciary, law enforcement agencies and government agencies in addition to economic measures to promote financial inclusion, business capabilities and digital literacy for women.
