LONDON: Ukrainian President Wolodmeer Zelannsky said Monday that he would set conditions for a possible peace deal to introduce the United States together with Europe, when the allies gathered in London promised to spend more on security and promised to unite to defend any kind of war in Ukraine.
The end of the week, the crisis, which combined 18 allies, came to a critical moment for Ukraine, who suffered from war, faced uncertain US support and last Monday against Russia’s three -year attack.
A few days ago, US President Donald Trump cheated Zilnski in front of reporters in the White House, raising concerns that he intends to force Kiev to force a peace deal that he wants Russian President Vladimir Putin.
But European leaders closed the ranks in support of Kiev, then Zillski said that the summit then abolished his commitment to work towards peace.
“We need peace, not an ending war,” he said on the telegram.
“In the near future, in Europe, we will all form our common positions – the lines we should get and the lines we cannot compromise,” he added. “This position will be presented to our partners in the United States.”
British Prime Minister Kerry Starr also said that Britain, France “and others would work on a plan to stop the fight with Ukraine, which they would then put in Washington.
And French President Emmanuel Macron, while flying from the summit, told the Lee Fogaro newspaper that France and the United Kingdom “want to propose a partial truss for a month,” in the air, in the sea and on energy infrastructure. “
Starrr and Macron have said they are ready to deploy British and French troops to Ukraine to help protect any war.
“We have no guarantee of joining,” said the star, “Europe has to do heavy lifting”.
No European Army in Ukraine
Macron told Lee Fagaro that initially, at least, will not cover ground fighting.
He said the problem was that it would be very difficult to enforce the size of the frontline.
He said that the peacekeepers will be deployed in later history, adding: “In the coming weeks, there will be no European troops on the Ukrainian soil.”
Macron also suggested that European countries increase Washington’s changing priorities and Russia’s militancy to increase its defense spending from 3 to 3.5 percent of GDP.
While the re -opening of Trump has recently put himself as a mediator between Putin and Zillski, his approach has ignored Kiev and Europe, pursuing relations with the Russian leader.
The change was in full exhibition at the Oval Office meeting with Zelaninski, which Trump is accused of not sufficiently grateful for US aid and is not “ready” for peace with Russia.
The Strmer, who met Trump a few days ago, insisted that the United States was not an “unreliable ally”. “The success of any agreement is” “” We have to support our strength, “he said.
But after the leaders gathered on Sunday, the European Commission’s Chief Ursula Van Der Leene warned that the continent had to re -perform immediately for the “worst preparation”.
And Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk called on the United States and Europe to disclose Putin that “the West had no plans before the blackmail and aggression”.
On Sunday, Trump dismissed concerns over his proximity with Russia, saying that the United States should worry more about Putin and more about domestic crimes.
Zelinsky demands to be retired
Trump’s Republican Party has been lagging behind its axis to the Ukraine War on a large scale.
Top officials have suggested that Zilnsky should be retired to ensure a peace deal.
“We need a leader who can deal with us, eventually deal with the Russians, and end the war,” Trump’s national security adviser Mike Waltz told CNN.
US House Speaker Mike Johnson said Zelinsky either “needs to come to his consciousness and return to the table, or someone else needs to guide the country.”
Zillski has repeatedly advised that he will resign for Ukraine in exchange for NATO membership.
“If NATO is and the war is over, it means that I fulfilled my mission.”
He also stressed the need to keep Washington ahead, and indicated the preparations for Trump to sign a mineral agreement.
“I am ready to engage in any constructive form in relations with the United States,” he said.
