2024 has been an incredible year for Pakistani sports, and athletes have made their own identity globally. But in the world of mixed martial arts (MMA), a name stands – Mohammad Rizwan.
An unbeaten professional fighter from Pakistan has been a year to explain, providing three amazing knockouts and receiving the Year Award for the Year in the brave CF. His performance has not only changed his career but has also changed the impression of the MMA in Pakistan. Being prominent as a co -main event for the brave CF, Rizwan has set the country as a legitimate force on the map at the World War Games.
Now, when he stands on the brink of history, knocking on the door of the UFC, Rizwan sat with us to discuss his journey, Pakistan India enmity, his training and his vision for the future.
Q: Rizwan, 2024 has been a huge year for you. What has changed in your career and Pakistan’s MMA scene?
Mohammad Rizwan: This year is changing life. Brave CF has been unrealistic to get three knockouts, co -main events, and year’s knockout. But beyond my personal success, I feel that I have helped change the MMA’s perspective in Pakistan. People now see that we can compete and win at a higher level. More fighters are getting opportunities, and international developments are recognizing our capabilities. Now the purpose is to take it to the UFC and to show the world what Pakistan is capable of.
Q: You have an unbeaten record of 9-0 with an end. What has been your most memorable battle so far?
Mohammad Rizwan: This is difficult because every fighting means something. But if I had to choose, I would say my battle in Bahadur 85 in Lahore. Fighting in front of a crowd of your home, providing a knockout that won the knockout of the year. It was special. The energy in this field was something else. That fight was not just about me. It was about to prove that Pakistan could present global MMA events and create elite fighters.
Q: Pakistan India enmity in MMA is becoming a big deal. Have you encountered Indian opponents many times? Do you see these match -ups?
Mohammad Rizwan: Pakistan is the war of India. There is something about the enmity that performs well in the players. The passion, national pride, is intense-that combat games are about all. But for me, it is never personal. I respect every opponent. These fights are excellent in the game because they attract large -scale viewers and new fans. People who do not usually see the MMA will be tuning just because of enmity. That is why I am sure that the battles in Pakistan India should be a major part of the UFC plans for the region.
Q: Some say that Pakistan India MMA’s battle can be bigger than a super bowl. Do you agree?
Mohammad Rizwan: Look exactly the number. The Super Bowl receives about 100 million viewers. But when Pakistan and India played in the Cricket World Cup, more than 1.4 billion people saw. If the UFC fights a Pakistan India, especially in comparison to me, the Anshol Jubilee, since we are in the same weight-it can break the record. This is not just two fighters. It is about two countries with a deep root enmity. The UFC can sell the fields, break the payment record according to salaries, and introduce MMA fully to the new audience. It will be widely.
Q: You train at the elite level. How does your daily training schedule look?
Mohammad Rizwan: Training is everything. I have two rigorous sessions in one day that focus on the strike, the other on the grip and conditioning. I also spend a lot of time watching the battles, improving my game plan and accelerating every aspect of my abilities. When I am preparing for big battles, especially against Indian fighters, I put more pressure even more because I know what is at stake. Each training camp is about to build and ensure that I step into this cage as the best version of myself.
Q: You have declared President of Pakistan MMA Federation Omar Ahmed an important figure in his success. How did it help you create your career?
Mohammad Rizwan: Omar Bhai has been a game changer for me. I met him at the lowest place of my career. I lost two battle opportunities, I was out of money, and I had no clear path ahead. Then, in March last year, I received his phone about fighting in a karate battle. Although I was not known for my strike, I said yes. He moved me to Lahore, covered all my life and training costs, and made a game plan for me. Everything changed in this fight. I got a knock out of the first round, and from there, my career was over.
Bahadur 85 in Lahore, my opponent pulled out a day before the fight. Omar Bhai personally came on the phone, assured the brave CF team, and agreed to fight Sri Kant. That night, I presented another knockout, which won the knockout of the year. Then in the brave 92, he was once again in my corner, and I retired my opponent with the first round. He also helped to secure the important deals of sponsorship, which made my training camps possible. Without it, I would not be where I am today. And when I start my UFC, I want it in my corner there.
Q: What is next for Mohammad Rizwan? What are your goals for the future?
Mohammad Rizwan: My next step is clear. I’m making it in UFC. This has been a dream from the first day, and now, I’m closer than ever. But apart from getting there, I want to take the MMA to the next level in Pakistan. I want to be a role model for Gujar Khan and children across the country, showing them that you do not need wealth or contacts for success. All you need is attractive, discipline and clean heart. My goal is to become the first Pakistani fighter in the UFC and finally win the championship. This is just the beginning.
Q: Any final message for your fans?
Mohammad Rizwan: For everyone who thanked me-thank you. This journey is not just mine, it is ours. We are making something special for Pakistan in the MMA. Keep support, support, and I promise to be proud of you all. It is yet to come.
With its unbeaten record, its growing global credibility, and its great commitment, are ready to make Muhammad Rizwan. If 2024 was his breakout year, 2025 could be the year when it goes to the UFC stage, which represents Pakistan at a high level. The world is watching, and Rizwan is ready.
