Instep caught up with four up-and-coming actors who are all set to make it big with their sheer talent and star presence.
Haroon Shahid
Haroon Shahid and his bandmates from Summit parted ways last year and he appeared alone with Quratul Ain Baloch in the 9th season of Coke Studio. Shahid has now joined the singer-turned-actor bandwagon as he stars opposite the gorgeous Mahira Khan in Shoaib Mansoor’s highly anticipated film Verna.
“I’ve become a lot more certified. I’ve realized that not everyone can do the process and the whole process takes a lot of hard work; you can’t just do it for the sake of it,” he shared. . His debut film will be shot entirely in the northern region of Pakistan and will enter the final stages of shooting within a week. Shahid was also approached for the lyrics, but it didn’t pan out and Atif Aslam played the role instead.
“Shoaib sir asked me to prepare for the film before casting me in it, so I have been preparing myself mentally for some time now, I think I am playing an integral role in the film. , so there is a lot of pressure on my shoulders as well,” he said. “Shoaib believes in presenting a very normal and honest view of human lives and that’s why we relate to his work more. He takes a script and sees the people around him for who they are. According to him; I am playing a role that I can present myself.”
Shahid called Mansoor his “mentor” and also revealed that he was happy to work with the Raees actress. “Working with Mahera, I can bounce off the energy and perform better. She’s someone who takes you through the whole process and teaches you. It’s a very serious film, yet. The moment the camera goes off, it’s a really fun set,” he revealed.
While the actor believes that he has developed an interest in acting, he will soon return to music after the completion of the film’s shoot as he has also featured in Verna’s soundtrack and a track by Zeb Bangash. Will work together.
“Acting has become a passion, but only my performance will tell whether I should pursue acting or not. I obviously haven’t seen the film, but when I do I will know better where I stand.” .

Suresh Khan has talent running through her veins as she is the granddaughter of two icons of cinema, Santosh Kumar and Sabiha Khanum. Alleged favoritism. “However, I take it more as a challenge. I don’t think it overshadows my abilities; in fact it inspires and motivates me because I have such amazing role models.”
Chin Aye Na has all the ingredients for a decent watch, but director Syed Noor belongs to an era that saw the decline of local cinema in the nineties. However, Khan disagrees and considers himself lucky to work with experienced filmmakers.
“There is no substitute for experience and Noor Ankal knows his work well. As for the lead, Suresh is happy to play the second lead. “What matters to me is how well I can relate to a particular character. Ahad Raza Mir
Son of veteran actor and producer Asif Raza Mir and grandson of filmmaker Raza Mir (deceased), Ahad Raza Mir’s entry into showbiz was natural. The actor, who first appeared on television when he was just 14 years old, believes that the acting bug has bitten him for as long as he can remember. He also obtained an academic degree in drama.
“My father is who he is, but the decision to come back to Pakistan and act was mine,” he says of being a star kid and acting professionally in Pakistan. “I also believe that the pressure will be there no matter what I do. It helps to keep my father in the same industry, but only to an extent; it will be difficult to carry on the family legacy and manage on my own. And to prove myself.”
Ahad has won two major television serials: Saif Hasan’s Sammi, with a star cast of Mawra Hussain, Adnan Siddiqui and Bilal Khan, and Shehzad Kashmiri’s He Yaqin Ka Naya Safar, opposite Sajal Ali in the lead role. is However, what made him hit the headlines was when he replaced Usman Khalid Butt in Haseeb Hassan’s Vaarat Hai Junoon, a tribute to the Pakistan Air Force, featuring a group of cadets. It’s something I’ve always dreamed of. I also had a hard time controlling myself. , since we also shot with a senior actor like Rashid Naaz, there were some threats too

Initially, I wasn’t sure that I always wanted to do different roles where I had to act differently and find myself as an actor,” she explained. “Screen space is also not a concern; the aim is to be able to prove myself as an actor. It would be wrong if I said I don’t want to be a star, but it is unfortunate that people typecast actors. do, prioritizing commercial value over one’s acting skills and I don’t want to make that mistake,” she said.
Ali will wrap up shooting for both his cinematic endeavors by early summer but has also started shooting for the sequel to the 2002 serial, Linda Bazar, which is being directed by veteran writer Khalilur Rahman Qamar.
