Vatican City: Vatican said on Sunday that Pope Francis, fighting double pneumonia, is in a critical condition for the second day’s race and has shown a “early, slight reduction” in his kidney function.
According to the latest medical update, a diagnosis for the 88 -year -old Pope, who needs blood transfusion on Saturday after experiencing “a long respiratory crisis like asthma”.
Francis was admitted to Jameli Hospital in Rome on February 14. Vatican first criticized his condition on Saturday.
“The condition of the holy father is critical, however, since last night, he has not experienced more respiratory crises since last night,” Vatican said on Sunday.
Blood tests also indicated that “due to early, minor kidney deficiency, which is currently under control,” he also pointed out kidney functioning, which filters blood waste products.
