The move came by President Asif Ali Zardari a day after three judges from other high courts transferred three judges to the IHC to the IHC, saying that the next Chief Justice of the Capital Court would be “transfer judge”.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice, Justice Sarfraz Dogar from the Lahore High Court, Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro from Sindh High Court and Justice Muhammad Asif from Balochistan High Court were shifted to the Federal Terrorist Court.
The approval of the transfer of judges to the IHC by the president against the request of five Islamabad judges raised many eyebrows. Last week, five IHC judges wrote a letter to Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi and expressed concern over recent media reports that a transfer judge would be considered as the Chief Justice of the Federal Territory Court.
The letter – in which Justin Akhdhar Kayani, Tariq Mehmood Jehangiri, Babar Sattar, Sardar Ejaz Ishq Khan and Saman Raifat Imtiaz were signed, CJP Yahya Afidi, IHC Chief Justice Aamir Farooq, LHC Chief Justice of the Chief Justice, LHC Chief Justice Amir addressed the Justice wife. Shafi Siddiqui.
The letter also included the names of the judges, Arbab Mohammad Tahir and Miangol Hassan Aurangzeb, but their signatures were missing.
In today’s resolution, lawyer agencies decided to challenge the IHC report of the transfer of three judges to each forum. It added that the meeting should also be postponed to appoint Supreme Court judges on February 10.
Throwing his weight behind the IHC judges’ letter, Islamabad’s lawyers demanded that the next IHC Chief Justice should not be “external”.
It added that a historic lawyer convention will be held at 11am on Monday under the councils.
Talking to reporters, IBC Vice Chairman Aleem Khan Abbasi said: “We reject the information about the posting of judges in the IHC.”
He said that the lawyers will launch a historic convention on Monday, adding that they have heard the latest posting of judges to the IHC and corruption behind the judges’ latest posting at the Judicial Commission meeting next week. Take.
He called on the bar councils across the country to boycott the proceedings of the respective courts.
He termed the 26th amendment as “black law” and summoned the SC’s full court to make a decision on the amendment.
IHCBA President Riazat Ali Azad believed that the strike and the convention was his unanimous decision. He said efforts were being made to make the IHC a winner.
He added, “The sin of the IHC is that it wants the independence of the judiciary.”
Meanwhile, Naeem Ali Gujar said that the lawyer was not with a judge or personality but with the judiciary and the constitution. He said the lawyer would resist the external judges.
Expressing solidarity with the lawyers of Islamabad, Karachi Bar Association (KBA) President Aamir Vraich announced on Monday to boycott the courts against the transfer of judges.
In a statement, the President of the KBA said: “Lawyers will boycott the judicial proceedings today for solidarity with the Islamabad bar. He added that a general body meeting of the KBA will be held at 11:30 am.
