Rana Sanaullah, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Political Affairs, criticized the first speech of Sohail Afridi, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, saying that his notorious tone about the federal government violates the spirit of the constitution and the law.
Addressing the Geo News program “Capital Talk”, Sanaullah asked if the Chief Minister was appropriate for the speech forum.
“Sohail Afridi is saying that he will not work with the federal government,” Sanaullah said.
Although the provinces enjoy sovereignty after the 18th Constitutional Amendment, they cannot deny the federal government.
The 18th Amendment to Pakistan in the Constitution was approved in 2010, and the changes it introduced was a deviation of many powers and responsibilities from the Center to the provinces.
Referring to Afridi’s first speech in the KP Assembly, Sanaullah said: “If the Chief Minister’s elected election is in accordance with what he said in his speech, I do not think he can work under the law as the head of the constitution and the provincial government.”
While highlighting the post of former ruling party about the operations against terrorism, the Prime Minister’s aide said that if he is looking for democratic and political treatment by the state and institutions, the PTI should behave like a political party.
Responding to another question, the PML -N leader said that the KP Assembly meeting should not be summoned unless the resignation of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandpur is officially accepted.
“Champion of collision politics”
After reiterating his loyalty to PTI founder Imran Khan, KPCM-elected Afridi in his first speech criticized the federal government, emphasizing the need to review the country’s policy on Afghanistan.
Addressing the KP Assembly meeting, after the resignation of Gandapur, the new leader of the House was elected, Afridi demanded tribal elders and representatives to keep them in confidence to resolve the issue of terrorism.
The newly elected Chief Minister Afridi also addressed the issue of terrorism, as KP needs Balochistan as well as events, and has said that where terrorism is, the solution is to bring the elders of the area into confidence.
He insisted that the solution to terrorism was in consultation with the people and their representatives.
He called for a review of Pakistan’s Afghan policy and said, “Where you are saying that there is terrorism, take local representatives, parliamentarians, people and the elders into confidence.”
Regrettably, “a mentality” made fun of the tribal people when his name was nominated for the Chief Minister’s office, Afridi withdrew his political career and journey.
“I could not become Chief Minister by ‘Park’ [chit]. I belong to a middle -class family belonging to the tribal districts. Efedi thanked PTI founder Imran and said that neither my father, nor my brother, nor my relative politician. “
Saying that the tribal population is happy with the decision to nominate and select the KPCM, he said a campaign has been launched against it.
Announcing that he will start taking steps in this regard today, Afridi said: “I am the champion of confrontation politics”.
“I don’t have cars, no bungalow, money, no greedy chair [of CM]. On the day the leader says no chair, I will kick him. “
The young politician further warned that if the PTI founder was shifted from Adiala Jail without consulting his family and party, he would paralyze the entire country in the protest.
“No one should think that I have come to this position and will deviate from it [Imran’s] Theory, “he said.
In addition, on February 8, 2024, reiterating the party’s position on alleged rigging in the general election, Afridi announced to launch an investigation into how his constituencies were stolen.
