After the Asia Cup 2025 clash on Sunday, India’s refusal to hand over Pakistan’s players has criticized, and observers have accused the politics of competition and destroying the spirit of the game.
Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi condemned the incident, and called it a clear sign. Regarding X, Naqvi said such behavior has disturbed the game of Sharif.
Naqvi wrote, “Today, it is disappointing to witness the lack of sports shortages. Draging politics into the game is against the spirit of sports. Let’s hope that future victories will celebrate all teams with grace.”
The incident was not limited to the end of the match. Even on the toss, Indian captain Surya Kumar Yadav allegedly refused to hand over Pakistan Captain Salman Ali Agha.
