Ukrainian officials said on Sunday that Russia launched its largest airstrike against Ukraine overnight, which set fire to the main building of the government in Central Kiev and killed at least four people, including a newborn.
President Wolodmeer Zelannsky said the drone and missile barrage killed four people and damaged the country north, south and east of Zapurizia, Krewi Riya and Odisha, as well as in Sommy and Chennaiyu areas.
“Now such casualties, when real diplomacy can begin long ago, is deliberately crime and war,” Zillsky said in a post on X.
Reuters witnesses said that immediately after sunrise. Later, a thick smoke rising in a clean blue sky from the burning floor of the main government building in the historic Pachiski district can be seen.
Elsewhere in Kiev, residential apartments were targeted and damaged, with dozens of residents were wrapped in blankets gathered outside the streets to survey their homes as the rescue workers struggled to extinguish the flames.
The attack showed the growing frustration in Ukraine and among the allies that the war could be ended soon, Russian President Vladimir Putin resisted the ceasefire and encouraged to strengthen relations with China.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has expressed his growing frustration with Moscow since his meeting with Putin last month, but has so far resisted the ban on Russia.

The biggest drone barrages of war

The body of a newborn baby was pulled from debris in Darnsky district, where a four -storey apartment building was damaged, Timur Tachinco, head of the Kiev’s military administration, said. He said a young woman was also killed in an attack on the district, located east of the Denopro River.
