WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump has signed an order on Friday, and the return of the war department is praised as a “message of victory” in the rest of the world.
Prepared by the Pentagon’s Chief Pete Hegsit at a Signatory ceremony in the White House, the US president said that the change showed power to the world and made fun of the Pentagon as a “very defensive” image.
He said that the current name, for more than 70 years, was very “awake”.
“I think it sends a message of victory,” Trump told reporters at the Oval Office about the brand. “In the light of this, this is a very proper name where the world is still.”
The name has returned to the department, the title was used for more than 1789 to 150 years, from Britain to 1947, shortly after World War II, 1947.
The Trump cannot formally change the Pentagon’s name without the approval of the Congress-but the use of a new label by the order of the 79-year-old order is allowed to be used as a “secondary title”.
Former Fox News host Hegsit quickly accepted the change, which published a video of a new name plate reading a “secretary of war” at the Pentagon’s door.
For a major restoration of the Department of Wide, Trump’s war veteran said that this change was “not just about changing the name, it is about restoring a warrior.”
“Violent influence is not politically correct, not just politically correct,” said Hegsit, Hegsit said.
Meanwhile, Trump blamed US military shocks in the first and second World Wars on the decision to declare it a defense department in 1949.
“We could win every war,” said Trump, who signed the 200th executive order for his second term, but we choose to be very politically right or wake up. “
A lot of ‘defensive’
Under the policy “US Great again” policy is part of Trump’s wider pressure for project power in its second term.
He has ordered the construction of the US military in the Caribbean to fight that he calls drug cartels led by Venezuelan leader Nicholas Maduro. Earlier this week, US forces killed 11 people, which Washington said was a drug -carrying boat.
Trump also ordered a US military strike in Iranian nuclear places in June.
Locally, he has deployed the US National Guard in Washington and Los Angeles in recent months, and described it as a crackdown on crime and illegal immigration.
Trump’s “Department of War” move can also sit with his campaign to win the Nobel Peace Prize, because he claims he plays his role in ending numerous conflicts.
Democrats have rejected the move as an expensive political stunt by billionaires.
The White House has yet to say how much will cost a brand, though the US media expects a billion dollar tag for the restoration of hundreds of agencies, marks, email addresses and uniforms.
A Pentagon official told AFP: “When we follow President Trump’s directive to establish the name of the war, the cost of the cost will come to fruition. We will have a clear estimate of reporting later.”
Trump had surpassed the announcement for weeks, complaining that the Defense Department looks too much “defensive” and showed the United States weak.
Hegsith has also attacked the former administration for the policies he and Trump as “awake”.
Specifically, after being named as President Joe Biden, once after the honor of the Confederate troops, he has tried to withdraw transgender troops from the army and restore the real names of the bases.
According to an official web page of the Pentagon History, the Department of War was formed in August 1789 to monitor the US Army, Navy and Marine Corps. The Navy and the Marines were separated after a decade.
