Eid is around the corner and the festive occasion calls for something bright and glamorous as far as hair and makeup are concerned. While the trick to being fashionable is to pair outfits and accessories that make a statement, the truth is that your overall look will not be complete without the perfect makeup and hairstyle.
Read on as Saeeda Mandviwala, CEO Tony & Guy (South Pakistan), shares the best beauty trends for Eid.
Flawless dewy skin
Be it fashion shows or the red carpet, flawless dewy skin is a trend that’s still going strong. “To achieve that perfect look, my first tip is to moisturize, moisturize, and moisturize. It’s the foundation for glowing, healthy skin. Use a tint and a moisturizer with SPF (sun protection factor). Highlighter is key to this look to keep the skin looking bright and fresh and will give you dewy skin every time.”
The key seems to be makeup.
“Colourful eyeshadow is the standout makeup trend of summer 2019. Deep pinks look stunning on darker skin tones and complement the perfect pastel pink complexion,” reveals Saeeda Mandviwala. revealed that fresh makeup is trending this summer with bronzer to achieve a sun-kissed glow.
“While smoky eyes are still in vogue, go soft on your bold and dark smoky eye this Eid. The key is to skip dark gray and black eye shadows and stick to browns to achieve this soft look. Work with color. Add a little sparkle. And a stroke of mascara to complete the look,” she said, sharing that black and brown graphic eyeliners are back. “From floating liners to an extended cat eye, there’s so much you can do when it comes to this trend.”
Regarding lip color, Saeeda said that creamy formulas are back to buck the matte trend. “While weightless formulas with high-impact color will get you through summer, think pink for blush, eye shadow and lips this summer.”

“As the warm weather continues, lots of ponytails, top knots and braids will be trending this Eid. The look will be cool and trendy with loose waves or a smooth blow-dry,” she said.
As for haircuts, they can vary from short to medium or long depending on the face shape and hair type. “With color, however, it’s going to be light and bright; it’s all about the tones and the depth of the different shades. Warm ash blondes and cool blondes with ash shades are all in this Eid.” is angry.”
According to Saida, floral updos are also very popular these days. “Summer flowers like sunflowers or chumbelly will look stylish and fresh.”
The hottest trend: hair accessories
“Clips and statement pins are ruling the runway and I see this as a big item for a festive occasion. Scarves will also be seen during Eid to wrap hair in different ways and add colour. “
Manicure matters
Talking about the nail trends, Saeeda shared, “Experiment with nail art – be it all embellishments or a subtle nail art design, what better way to adopt some art on your nails. There was never a time. It’s not necessary to choose a nude nail, or a graphic design.”
As for nail colors, the stylist recommends a beautiful palette of seasonal colors from Neil Berry – L’Oxygene Collection. Nail colors provide color in a halal, breathable and healthy manicure. “Add a touch of magic to your nails by choosing ‘Pretty in Pink’ or ‘Lilac Fairy’ for those long summer nights. Also, classic coral to complete your vibrant summer look.” A shed is a must.”
Tips and tricks
On keeping your makeup oil-free, Saeeda advises wearing waterproof makeup, especially on the eyes so it doesn’t melt in the heat. “Makeup should be minimal and matte so that it lasts all day and you can also use fixer to keep the makeup in place and make it last longer.”
She suggests adding a bright blush and lip color along with bronzer to transform your look from day to night on Eid.
