Four countries’ square meetings for Afghanistan in Moscow to discuss regional peace and security.
Pakistan’s Special Representative of Afghanistan, Ambassador Mohammad Sadiq, wrote on the X: “The participating states unanimously confirmed their stable commitment to a stable, sovereign and peaceful Afghanistan, which clarified the need for a country free from the curse of terrorism and external interference.”
He added that one of the major concerns is the continued presence of designated terrorist organizations, including the Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), East Turkey Islamic Movement (ETIM), Jaish -ul -Dad, Daesh and Al -Qaeda.
Ambassador Sadiq said, “In light of this shared threat, the nations emphasized the importance of better harmony and cooperation measures to tackle terrorism in all their demonstrations.”
The meeting confirmed the common goal of preventing Afghanistan from becoming a shelter for militant groups and highlighted the importance of permanent regional cooperation to ensure peace and stability.
Bilateral meetings
Prior to the square consultation, Ambassador Sadiq met his Iranian counterpart, Ambassador Mohammad Raza Beharmi, in which he described as a “great meeting”.
“We have discussed deeply on the latest developments in Afghanistan and exchanged views about joint concerns, especially on the permanent threat of terrorism,” he added, adding that “the two sides emphasized the importance of tackling shared challenges.”
He said the two sides also sought ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation and enhance regional engagements to support stability and security. “
In another meeting, Ambassador Sadiq described his conversation with Chinese counterpart Ambassador Yu Xiaong as “fruitful”: “We discussed regional security, counter -terrorism cooperation, and humanitarian sympathy in Afghanistan, and promoted sustainable peace and stability in the region.”
He noted that the meeting “identified a strong partnership between Pakistan and China in tackling shared challenges and advancing regional development.”
Ambassador Sadiq also met his Russian counterpart Ambassador Zamir Kabulov in Moscow.
“These debates were focused on measures to promote regional cooperation in Afghanistan,” he said, adding that Pakistan’s ambassadors, Obaid and Rehman Nizmani were also present in Kabul.
Moscow’s consultation has emerged among the demands issued by the Taliban administration in Kabul, Pakistan, to decisively act against terrorist agencies operating from Afghan soil.

Earlier this year, the sixth trilateral Foreign Ministers have promised to further strengthen cooperation against terrorism in China, regional development, health, education, culture, and counter-necktics, as well as China-Pak-PACA, as well as China-Packistan.
During the same meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar called on Kabul to take “concrete and confirmed measures” against banned outfits such as TTP, BLA, and Majid Brigade, which confirm Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and collective security.
