Copenhagen: Ukrainian President Wolodmeer Zelinsky has warned that Russia’s war is not just about Ukraine but about breaking the West, warning that Europe’s recent drone attacks show that Russia is trying to “promote” its aggression because it is trying to help its country.
Speaking to European leaders from just 50 countries gathered at a conference center in Copenhagen on Thursday, he said Moscow drone attacks and widespread aggression showed that it wants to divide Europe and weaken its alliance.
“The recent events of the drone all over Europe are a clear sign that Russia still feels bold to increase the war,” Zilnsky said.
“It wasn’t just about Ukraine, Russia’s purpose was to always break the West and Europe.”
The warning came at a summit of European leaders from only less than 50 countries, who changed a conference center in Copenhagen under tight security after Denmark’s clash after the mysterious drone flights last month.
Watching drones in Denmark and high -level airstrikes by Moscow in Estonia and Poland has raised concerns that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine could spread to Europe’s borders.
Russian President Vladimir Putin pardoned the allegations, but said Russia was “closely monitoring Europe’s growing militancy”, adding that Moscow’s reaction would be timely and “important”.
Putin accused Europe of promoting “hysteria” to forgive the growing military spending, and said that Russia had no threat.
“Just calm,” he said.
European leaders want to work with Ukraine’s combat test skills because they try to strengthen their defense, and are discussing “drone wall” plans to tackle Moscow’s threat.
“If the Russians dare to launch a drone against Poland, or to violate the airspace of northern European countries, it means that it can happen anywhere.”
“We are ready to share this experience with our partners.”
French President Emmanuel Macron said that when Russian drones are encountered, Western countries should be willing to take a tough line to doubt the Kremlin.
Macron said, “It is very important to give a clear message. The drones that violate our areas are taking only a great threat. They can be destroyed, full stop.”
Romanian Prime Minister Nicosore Dean, whose country has seen the Russian drone crosses Ukraine, has warned that his forces will shoot the next one to violate its airspace.
‘Mart’ Russia’s ‘Shadow Flat’
Since Russia’s full -scale war against Ukraine has been dragging during the fourth year, Europe is roaming Moscow to maintain pressure on Moscow and put pressure on safe funds for Kiev.
Macron said the so -called shadow of the elderly oil tankers has to accelerate efforts to counter the so -called shadow so that Russia uses to prevent restrictions on exporting its oil.
“It is very important to increase pressure on this shadow fleet, as it will clearly reduce the ability to finance the war efforts,” Macron said.
To ensure that Ukraine provides its financing, the European Union is looking for a new 140 billion euro ($ 165 billion) loan to use a proposal to use frozen Russian assets for funds.
Supporters say the move needs Ukraine to help budget shortages – and that Russia, not European taxpayers, should eventually move forward.
But Belgium, where the majority of frozen assets are held, have deep reservations on the project, which some leaders fear that they can stop other investors or take Russian retaliation.
“We are going to unhealthy waters,” said Belgian Prime Minister Bart de Viver. This is very dangerous. “
He insisted that he wanted clear promises to all EU leaders that he would share possible responsibility to protect Belgium from any Russian revenge.
European Union chief Arsola Van Dare Leene said Wednesday that it was clear that the threat should not only come to Belgium’s shoulders and that they would “fasten” the proposal.
