Charlie Kirk’s firing, Tyler Robinson, is a resident of 22 -year -old Utah, whose officials say the recent conversation was allegedly criticized by the Conservative influence and was living with his family at the time of the shooting.
Authorities said Friday that Robinson was arrested late Thursday when a family friend called authorities.
Investigators have not publicly identified any purpose. Utah Governor Spencer Cox told reporters that a member of a family interviewed by law enforcement agencies said Robinson had recently mentioned Kirk’s appearance at Utah Valley University, where he was shot on Tuesday.
Cox said, “They talked about why they didn’t like it and why they didn’t like their views.”
Robinson has become more political in recent years, a member of the family told investigators, and officials said he had shot, which contained victorious messages on bullet casing, which he received from a suspected weapon of murder.
According to Reuters reviewed state records, Robinson, who was arrested on charges of angry murder and other charges, has no criminal history.
According to voter records, he was a registered voter but he was not affiliated with any political party. He is listed as a “passive” voter, which shows that he did not put any belt in last year’s presidential election, when Republican Donald Trump defeated Democrat Kamla Harris.
Robinson graduated from Pine View High School in St. George, Utah in 2021. A video online shows that he rejoiced with the audience by taking his diploma on stage.
He was briefly educated at Utah State University in Logan for a semester, at this fall, the school confirmed Reuters. It was not immediately clear why he left college.
In a video posted by his mother on Facebook, Robinson can be seen reading aloud with a letter in which he was presented with a four -year scholarship from Utah State University when he was happy.
According to the Princeton Review Test preparations, another post states that Robinson had scored 34 in the Act College admission exam, which would include 1 % of the test takers.
At the time of his arrest, he was living in the southwestern corner of Utah near the Nevada border, living in Washington County, Cox.
According to his parents’ Facebook posts, he has two younger brothers. Her mother is a social worker at a non -profit health care company, while her father’s possession was not immediately clear.
Showed doting mother in Facebook posts
Her mother’s Facebook posts in the past years – most of which were deleted on Friday – mostly focused on her family, documenting Alaska, Caribbean and Disneyland visits. Adopted school plays, Halloween costumes, and pet rabbits. And expressing pride when the three boys continued to develop through school. In any way, no post looked political.
In other posts, Robinson and his brothers are occasionally shown with guns, though this is not unusual in a state that has legitimate firearms laws.
“Funning without it was a difficult task that I had to do in a long time,” her mother wrote in a post about helping to go to college in 2021. “She’s very excited to start her journey, and it would be very surprising to her!”
On Thursday evening, Cox said, a family member called a family friend who, as a result, told the Washington County Sheriff’s office “with information that Robinson had confessed to him or indicated that he had presented the incident.”
Robinson’s roommate also showed that Robinson had sent through a detect -platform that told about leaving a rifle in a bush wrapped in a towel.
Robinson was registered about 12 miles (19 km) from the university in the Spanish County Jail in the Spanish thorns, where Kirk was shot. He has not yet been formally charged.
