Authorities have urged citizens to go to the 10th wet magic of the monsoon season.
The weather forecasts warn that “very heavy rain” is likely to pound Karachi as a powerful monsoon system maintains its intensity as a deep depression on the ground.
PMD deputy director Anjum Nazir said the deep depression is currently about 50 km northeast of Hyderabad, which causes 85 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours.
He added that the system is moving towards the west, which causes the morning rainfall in Karachi, and it is expected that it will intensify after 11am.
A PMD spokesperson had earlier warned that the city’s situation could be “severe”, with strong winds of 60 to 70 km per hour during magic.
This system of heavy rainfall can cause more than 100 mm of rainfall in Karachi throughout the magic, according to Nazir, due to poor infrastructure of the city, the urban flood is at risk.

Of the recent rains, more than 60 of the recent feeders have been affected in the recent rains, its spokesman said. In some low -lying areas and illegal contacts, electricity was cautioned.
For now, Karachi’s traffic is under control, and electricity is mostly stable. But once the real test will start after colliding with a heavy spell. The city is waiting, hopefully it will not sink again.
