Senior US National Security Officers said on Wednesday that military operations against cartels will continue, and will set the phase of a permanent military campaign in Latin America, even with Venezuela’s basic questions about the deadly strike against the vessel.
The US military killed 11 people on Tuesday in a strike on a Venezuela plane in the first famous operation following President Donald Trump’s recent deployment of warships in the South Caribbean.
The strike is rarely known, including which legal justification was used or which drugs are on the board, but US Defense Secretary Pete Hegsit said the operations will continue.
“We have assets in the air, assets in the air, assets on ships, because it is a deadly serious mission for us, and it will not only stop this strike,” said Foxit.
“Anyone else who smuggled these waters in these waters that a nominee is a terrorist, will face the same fate,” said Hegsit.
He refused to provide details about how the operation was carried out. It is unknown whether the vessel was destroyed by using drones, tarpedo, or any other source.
Speaking in Mexico City, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said similar strikes would be once again.
Rubio said, “It may be happening right now, I don’t know, but the thing is, the United States President Narko is going to fight against terrorist organizations.”
On Tuesday, Trump said on Tuesday, without providing evidence, the US military identified the crew as a member of Venezuela’s gang train de Aragua, which Washington named by a terrorist group in February.
On Wednesday, he told reporters at the Oval Office that “mass drugs” were found on the boat.
“We have the tape of them,” Trump said. Trump said, “It was a massive drug coming to kill many people in our country. And everyone fully understands it. In fact, you see it, you see drug bags on the whole boat.”
The Pentagon has not released details about the crew nor why it has not chosen to kill the people on the ship.
In the past, the presidents of the two major US parties have given the military the authority to use the military for limited strikes when the United States is in danger, as Trump did in June when he ordered an attack on Iran.
Rubio said that “cocaine or fantasy boat” is an immediate threat to the United States, adding that Trump has the right to “end it in unexpected situations.”
Mary Allen O’inal, a specialist in international law and power at the University of Notre Dam, “violated the basic principles of international law on Tuesday.”
He said, “The alleged fact is that the attack was on the upper oceans.
Maduro should be “upset”
The decision to blow up a drug -passing drug ship from the Caribbean instead of capturing the ship and catching its crew is extremely unusual, and gives rise to the memories of the US war against militant groups like al -Qaeda.
The United States has deployed warships in South Caribbean in recent weeks to pledge to break Trump’s drug cartels.
Seven US warships and a nuclear -powered fast -attack submarine is either soon there, with more than 4,500 sailors and marines. American Marines, belonging to the 22nd Marine Accessary Unit, and sailors are conducting amyfius training and flight operations in South Puerto Rico.
When Venezuela’s close ties with China, Hegsit aims with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.
“The only person who should be upset is Nicholas Maduro, who … is effectively the kangapin of the drug addictive state.”
The Trump administration last month doubled the prize for information caused by Maduro’s arrest, which was accused of drug trafficking and links to criminal groups.
Venezuelan officials have said that the purpose of the Caribbean construction is to justify interference against them, Maduro has accused Trump of obtaining a “change of government”.
In an interview to Fox Notyyas on Wednesday, Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Korena Machado supported the US strike, saying the operation was aimed at “saving lives” in Venezuela and the United States.
“We have to thank that the United States President, Donald Trump, and his administration, Maduro, recognize it and hold it,” MacDo said. He was barred from running in the 2024 presidential election but he is the country’s most famous opposition personality.
Authorities in the South American country, who say that he is no longer active after the termination of Trey Dargua during a prison raid in 2023, it was suggested on Tuesday that the footage shared by Trump of Speed Boat was born with artificial intelligence on Tuesday.
Reuters conducted a preliminary examination on the video, which includes a review of its visual elements using the manipulation detection device, which did not show evidence of manipulation. However, complete verification is an ongoing process, and with more information is available, Reuters will continue to review the footage.
The strike raised doubts about some people in opposition to Venezuela.
“How did they know that there were 11 people? Did they count them? How did they know that they were Venezuela? Were their identity cards floating on the sea after that?” Former opposition presidential candidate Henrick Caprils told Reuters.
