ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Sunday that Pakistan’s development road maps and government measures resonate with vision for the development and prosperity of President Xi Jinping, which reflects the deep roots between the two countries.
Addressing students and teachers at Tianjin University, Premier urged Pakistani students studying in China to gain sophisticated knowledge and technology with gross determination and hard work, and later apply their skills in Pakistan for the welfare, development and prosperity of their people.
The Prime Minister is on a six -day official visit to China to attend the 25th Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit. According to the Foreign Office (FO), they are ready to meet President XI and Premier Lee Kiang.
In his address today, he expressed satisfaction that more than 200 students from different parts of Pakistan have been enrolled at Tianjan University, which is a learning seat which they have described as a “great knowledge of great knowledge”.
He expressed hope that the students were the ambassador of Pakistan and said that through their dedication and determination, they would return as the future architect of the nation. He remarked, “Above all, you are the flame of Pakistan -China friendship.
Prime Minister Shahbaz said that the students of Tianjan University, who are considered to be a source of learning, will emerge as an expert who can contribute not only in the remarkable development of China but also in the welfare and prosperity of Pakistan.
The Prime Minister reminded that the historic Pakistan China’s friendship was raised by the previous generations through irrevocable commitment, honesty and sincerity, and laid a foundation that depends on the pillars of mutual trust. He emphasized that this lasting relationship has stood on the test of time and overcome many historical challenges.
“It combines it together to find a common destiny because of our determination and clear vision in our minds,” he added, adding that any design to weaken this friendship suffered from united operations and mutual understanding. He reiterated that the bond between the two countries will last forever, even if it does not matter that the challenges are ahead.
Referring to the centuries -old ties, Prime Minister Shahbaz highlighted that Pak -China relations were as old as Silk Road and was as deep as religious links between Gandhara, Taxila and Beijing.
He remembered the historic milestone that deepened relations – including the Pakistan People’s Republic of China is the first Muslim country. Highlighting his government’s efforts, the Prime Minister said that the administration is committed to eliminating corruption and poverty, and has expressed satisfaction that no case of corruption has been reported in the present era. He pointed out that China’s success was made not on words but on “sweat and bloodshed”.
He emphasized that Pakistan is a common destiny with China and it should take advantage of the knowledge given by Chinese universities to achieve economic and agricultural development. 60 % of Pakistan’s population is comprised of youth, he said, the country faced both a challenge and an opportunity – which can be opened with China.
The Prime Minister noted that his government had already sent 1,000 Pakistani agriculture graduates to China for modern training, and about 30,000 Pakistani students are currently receiving education and technical training in China. He also highlighted the importance of vocational training in equipped the youth of Pakistan in different areas.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shahbaz held a two -way meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the occasion of the Head of State Council in Tianjan.
During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed the current state of Pakistan-Turkish relations and expressed satisfaction over the growing pace in bilateral relations.
He noted a wide range of exchanges and cooperated in a broader field, including political, economic, defense and security domains.
As a result of the floods in different parts of Pakistan, the Turkish president offered a sincere condolences on the loss of valuable lives and property.
He also expressed his solidarity with the people of Pakistan and said that the government and the Turkish government stands from the shoulder with Pakistan in this time of need. The two sides exchanged views about key regional and international developments.
The meeting confirmed the relations of the deep -headed brotherhood between Pakistan and Turkey and pointed out their joint commitment to further strengthening the Muslim world and beyond peace, stability and prosperity, stability and prosperity.
