Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif began on an official visit to China on Saturday, where he will attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Head of State Meeting in Tanjan.
Premier is ready to attend the 80th anniversary of China’s victory in World War II in Beijing.
During this visit, he will meet with President Xi Jinping and other world leaders to enhance regional cooperation, strengthen multilateral stability and advance the common goals of peace and prosperity.
“I look forward to meeting with his President Xi Jinping and other world leaders to further promote our bilateral relations with all our seasonal strategic co -operative partner, as well as other important countries in the region, enhance regional cooperation, strengthen multi -solidarity, and strengthen peace and prosperity.”
The Prime Minister will also meet with Premier Lee Qiang and will participate in a military parade on the 80th anniversary of the anti -fascist war in Beijing with President XI and other world leaders.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said that the Prime Minister is scheduled to discuss trade, investment, and economic relations with more Chinese businessmen and executives and addressing Pakistan -China B2B Investment Conference in Beijing.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Ataullah Tarar and Prime Minister Tariq Fatimi’s Advisor to the Prime Minister are with the Prime Minister.
The Foreign Office said that the visit is part of a high -level exchange, which aims to deepen the “All Strategic Cooperative Partnership of the Weather”, which is to advance the second phase of the China -Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and maintain regular communication on key regional and global issues.
The three -day 25th meeting of the heads of states is planned on August 31, 1st and 2.
A Chinese Foreign Ministry official said last week that this year’s summit would be the largest when the SCO was founded in 2001, calling the block a “major force in a new type of international relations”.

In today’s multinational world, he added, the role of the SCO in strengthening multilateral, stability and comprehensive development was more important than ever. Dar said that during the Pakistan Summit, the Chinese leadership and other members of the SCO are waiting for constructive high -level engagements with the SCO member states.
