WASHINGTON: From the gold -mounted White House to the capital Washington, Donald Trump has been trying to leave an architectural mark as no US president has tried for decades.
The former Property Magnet said earlier this month, “I am good at building things,” when he announced a $ 200 million new ballroom in the US executive mansion, the largest project.
Trump prepared his fortune and brave the shiny hotels and casino bases in his name. Critics say the change has been given by Trump to the White House in his second presidency.
Parts of it are now similar to its brushes in Florida with its brushes-a-lago resort, especially with picnic tables and yellow and white umbrellas, especially with new smooth over rose garden.
During Trump’s first term, British -style author Peter York compared his style ‘dictator check’ to foreign sovereignty.
But Trump has recently unveiled a great vision for the entire American capital.
And he has clearly tied Washington to ‘beautiful’ for his recent crackdown, which has seen him deploying troops in a democratically -driven city, where he had a military parade on his birthday just two months ago.
“It is about to perform power.”
“That is what he does. He puts his name on the Bible and the casino, so the logic makes sense. Except he is now playing with life, the credibility of the United States and the democratic heritage.”
Oval billing
Trump is away from the first president, who renovated the White House in his 225 -year history.
In 1934, Franklin Roosevelt overseed the construction of the current Oval Office, Harry Truman led a major restoration ending in 1951, and John F. Kennedy formed a modern Rose Garden in 1961.
The White House Historical Association presented Trump’s changes in context, saying that the building was “a living symbol of American democracy, which is ready as a national historical sign.”
Its president, Stuart McLourin, said in an article in June that the renovation of the entire history has criticized the media and the Congress for “spending, historical integrity and time”.
He wrote, “Yet many of these changes have become necessary to identify the White House, and nowadays it is difficult for us to imagine the White House without these evolution and increase.”
Nevertheless, Trump’s changes are approaching a century.
Immediately to return. Later, he began to raise the walls of the Oval Office with gold terms and turns that have been cautious in praising foreign leaders.
Then he ordered to turn the famous grass of the rose garden into a courtyard. Trump said he did so because women’s high -heeled shoes were drowning in a turf.
After the end of it, Trump installed a sound system and AFP reporters can regularly listen to music from his personal playlist that is running through the courtyard.
Trump has also made two major American flags on the White House lawn, and a major mirror on the West Wing colonies in which the former Reality TV star can see himself as he leaves the ovar.
‘Big Beautiful Face’
Billion Patti Trump says he is personally financing these improvements. But its major projects will need external help.
The White House said the new ballroom planned for the East Wing by the end of its tenure in January 2029 will provide financial support through “other Patriot Donors”.
Meanwhile, Trump says he expects Congress to agree on a $ 2 billion bill for its grand plan to promote Washington.
On an oil-rich Saudi trip to Saudi Arabia in May, Trump praised the Skyline’s “shining surprise”-and he intends to make his shiny capital.
This is from the marble -mounted change in the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts to get rid of grafts and – sometimes construction boss – fixing the barriers to the broken road and building a new asphalt.
But Trump’s Washington plans also include a crackdown by the National Guard that he has threatened to expand other cities like Chicago.
He has repeatedly said of the presence of military forces that the Americans will probably be “probably like a dictator” – even when they reject their opponents’ claims that he is acting like one.
Labor and agriculture departments have large posters on Washington’s streets, Trump has his own face, even looms.
“Mr. President, I invite you to see your beautiful face on a banner in front of the labor department,” Labor Secretary Lori Lori Chavez Demar said at a cabinet meeting on Tuesday.
