Official response

“We can’t just tackle this challenge,” he emphasized on the integrated global action during a program.
The Chairman of the NDMA informed the Public Accounts Committee at the beginning of the day that Pakistan hosts about 7,500 glaciers, warning that 65 % of them could melt in the next five decades due to a two -degree increase in temperature.
Legislators criticized the lack of NDMA preparation, Junaid Akbar, a member of the committee, remarked, saying that the authority only appears to be equipped for recovering the bodies and repairing roads.
Another member, Sanaullah Masti Khel, alleged that the funds for the initial warning system were diverted in the Benazir Income Support Program, and said that if the authority was given, they would file an FIR.
The NDMA chief also warned that the eighth magic of monsoon rains is expected to begin tomorrow.
