ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met with Bangladesh Chief Advisor Professor Mohammad Yunus in Dhaka on Sunday.
During the meeting, according to the Foreign Office, the two leaders discussed issues, including strengthening bilateral relations, restoring historical links between the two countries, promoting youth relations, enhancing regional relations, and promoting trade and economic cooperation.
The two leaders also discussed recent regional progress and the possibility of wider regional cooperation.
Dar greeted Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif to the interim leader of Bangladesh and briefed him about his engagement in Dhaka, along with the results of his visit.
He expressed his appreciation for the warm hospitality and excellent arrangements extended by Bangladesh during this visit.
Dar, who is on a two -day visit to Dhaka, also met with Bangladesh’s foreign adviser, Tahid Hussain, to review the complete aspect of bilateral relations.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed “high -level exchange, trade and economic cooperation, contact with the public, cultural exchange, cooperation on the construction of education and capacity, and human affairs.”
The two countries are also discussing regional and international issues, including the resolution of the SAARC and the resolution of the Palestinian and the Rohingya issue, and the two sides agreed to work to further strengthen bilateral relations.
