Experience the world with our sensual ideas. Surprisingly, what will be our experiences if any of these five senses who are seeing, listening, taste, touch and smell are out of equality? I am not talking about this experience based on the temporary loss of a sensory impression but is based on a permanent or prolonged loss.
I tested the world with all sensory ideas until the age of 34. For the past 22 years, I have done so without any sight. In my case, the loss of eyes was not an event, but it was over 14 years. The doctor broke the news when I was 18 years old: I could lose my eyes in ten to twenty years. Over the next four years, slowly but certainly, sighting decreased. This article is about my experiences after the waste of eyes, not about the loss of view.
The loss of eyes depends on the remaining sensory ideas, after the loss of eyes is completed. In other words, listening, touching, taste and smell increases the role in performing the tasks associated with views.
Birthday and blind people learn to live without eyes since childhood, while the latter has to keep themselves nine and learn to rely on other senses.
For example, despite having a master’s degree in English literature, I needed to learn how to read again. In my, I needed to trust in contact and hearing. I learned how to read and write on the computer using a software called this speech (Jabs), which helps to perform all work on the computer through a sound output.
When learning to read with hearing and contact was relatively easy to ease, learning to walk with white stick, hearing and contact proved to be a challenge. I saw the need for easy walking work, whether it be at home, at work, or on a work -related journey inside and outside the country. I learned how by hearing hands, through contact, and voice identification, play an important role in identifying and navigation, you move from one place to another.
I also found that people in Pakistan are very generous over their time to provide help to a blind person but there is no institutional support. In the West, individual people have the time to help rarely, but institutional help is provided to the blind people’s needs.
Although nothing can replace eyes, the waste of the eyes does not mean that blind cannot experience life because it opens up to them through the rest of their senses. This can be enriched in a number of ways.
I also found that when people first come to Pakistan in Pakistan, you can understand that they are ready to ask you within two minutes of your interaction, whether you are blind at birth or have you lost a look? Privacy attack does not stop there. You have heard them express their deep grief over your loss through breaths and sounds, without realizing that their purpose is a real person. Then there is a wonderful story about medicinal advice or a miracle worker that can restore sight. Even some good people offer to take you there. They do not realize that you have already met your disability, and your basic concern is to put food on the table for your family, not restoring your eyes.
Interestingly, children have a natural wisdom and they are more intelligent than many adults in communicating with blind people. They quickly observe and adjust their response. For example, when my two -and -a -half -year -old daughter was trying to learn the alphabet, she did not know how to pronounce the ‘M’ letter. Instead of pointing to this letter and asking me what it was, he took my hand, pulled the form of ‘M’ ‘M’ on my palm with his finger and asked me what is this? It is a pity that we fill the minds of our children with information at the expense of their natural wisdom through education.
After the waste of sight, I changed the touch of local awareness and to raise the sound and identify the items that I had previously done. For example, while leaving for the office, touching things like laptop bags, mobiles, wallets, charging cables will shape them and help me find and identify them.
It is generally assumed that a person who cannot see can suffer from local awareness. That is why when we were looking for an office space for the newborn, my colleagues were surprised at the Pakistan Information Commission. While visiting various buildings, I will comment that this place is very small and it seems quite spacious. He wondered how I could make a very accurate comment without being able to see. The proximity of voices and echoes gives a lot of good idea about the size of different parts of a building. The sound -based local awareness also helped to organize a taxi by going to the road before riding services, and the sounds of incoming vehicles guess whether it was a truck, motorcycle or car.
Sometimes, identifying an item of a blind person, can contain more than one feeling of an item, for example, separate the items when using a touch, smell or taste, or find out what is inside the packet or bottle.
Recently. Although nothing can replace eyes, the waste of eyes does not necessarily mean that those who are blind cannot experience life because it opens up to them through the rest of their senses, as it can be a rare experience in many ways.
