WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump has confirmed that a draw for the 2026 FIFA World Cup will take place in Washington on December 5.
The World Cup draw event will be held at the Kennedy Center in the US capital, calling the tournament a “biggest sports event” when he was standing with FIFA President Giani Infantino at the White House on Friday.
The 48 teams’ football championship will take place at the Kennedy Center in the US capital, where Trump recently installed himself as chairman, in which he called the war against the “awake” culture.

The 2026 World Cup is hosting the United States, Canada and Mexico next year, and Trump has made a huge deal about it during his presidency.

Putin ‘are coming and they may not probably’
There was a short moment of nerve when Trump was seen rotating the World Cup before placing it at his desk – because Infantino reached a hand to strengthen it.
Infantino later presented the American leader with a major ticket for the World Cup finals on July 19 at the Mat Life Stadium in East Ruderford, New Jersey, with a big ticket for the World Cup final.
Trump also suggested that Russian President Vladimir Putin could attend the World Cup.
Holding a photo, he said that Putin had sent him after his summit in Alaska last week, Trump said the Kremlin chief “wanted to be there very badly,” but that he depends on the consequences of Ukraine peace efforts.
The United States was nominated as the joint host of the 2026 World Cup during Trump’s first term in 2018. He lost to Biden in the 2020 elections but won the second term last year.
Since his return to power, Trump has started a major crackdown on immigration, but he said it would be “very easy” to get a visa for most of the World Cup fans.
For visitors from some countries, it is “obviously a bit more difficult,” which has banned all passengers from all 12 countries, including Afghanistan, Haiti and Iran.
‘Trump-Kendy Center’
The World Cup was reportedly held in Las Vegas, but there are more political boundaries at the new location.
Trump led the occupation of the Kennedy Center earlier this year, saying that the late Democratic President John F. Kennedy had also become a “awake”.
