Meanwhile, rainwater cannot be completely eliminated from several major roads, including Tower, II Chandgarh Road, FTC Area, Share Faisal on PAF Museum, and Saifura on University Road.
Water has also been gathered in Karachi’s Red Zone, Shaheen Complex, Mr. Kayani Road, near the Arts Council, and Ziauddin Ahmed Road. As a result, a track of Dr Ziauddin Ahmed Road has been closed for traffic since yesterday, while Dari Road and Nazimabad underpass are also closed.

‘Important roads are largely cleaned’
Talking to Geo News, Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab said that when the main roads have been cleared after the rains, drainage work is still underway in several water areas.
He said, “Rain water where rain water has accumulated, drainage efforts are underway.
Wahab said that 3.024 million cubic feet of debris have been removed from the storm drains so far, which has improved the flow of water throughout the city and ease drains.
It recognized shortcomings in the drainage system but emphasized the need for a long -term solution. “The basic steps are needed to enhance the drainage capacity, but it requires resistance from the ground and residents, which makes it difficult,” said the Mayor.
He added, “Traffic is running, but water is left on the sides of the roads. Overall, the situation has improved compared to the early days.”
The mayor also confirmed complaints about the power outage in several palaces.
