The global talent cranch is growing. A Corn Ferry report warns that by 2030, more than 85 million vacancies worldwide can be met due to lack of skilled workers. For a young population like Pakistan, where 64 % of the population is under 30 years, it is both a warning and a wake -up call. The country’s population profit is a potential game changer, but only if our youth is properly specialized for the developmental job market.
Pakistan faces widespread differences between our workforce and those who demand the 21st century economy. Traditional education system and training programs have not pace with rapid technical changes, leaving millions of unemployed or less employed. This is especially clear in high growth areas such as information technology, health care and renewable energy, where employers report difficulty finding eligible workers.
The emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) offers a unique opportunity – not as a danger, but as a change power that can promote manpower and create new employment paths. For Pakistan, AI’s original capacity is to strengthen the skills of skills, introduce AI -related skills in vocational training and to prepare young people for the first future.

This enhances engagement from the point of view of adaptive learning and ensures master’s basic skills for learners before development.
Government -backed platform, Digskills.PK, has trained more than 3 million people in digital freelancing and AI -related courses. With the rise of freelancing markets globally, worth $ 1.5 trillion globally in 2023.
Indian model
India’s digital economy offers a model for Pakistan. India initially invested in the development of IT education and expertise through measures such as the Futures Kills Prime of Nakam, aimed at the skills of more than 4 million people in AI, Cloud and CyberScript. As a result, India now exports more than $ 200 billion annually to IT services and has more than 80,000 startups, including many people in AI.
AI is not just a device. It is a catalyst for change. With the right investment in the AI -powered skill education and employment routes, Pakistan can turn its population into a population profit.
Pakistan can imitate this pace by aligning its TVET sector with the needs of AI and digital economy. Connecting partnerships with micro-credentials, certification programs and global tech companies-such as Google, Microsoft and Corsera-AI-desady can create a stable pipeline for professionals.

Most of the global story around the AI focuses on job losses. While some roles will be automated, new job categories are emerging. These include AI trainers, quick engineers, moral AI auditors and automation supervisors, some of which are named. The World Economic Forum estimates that the AI will displace 85 million jobs by 2025 and create 97 million new items, mostly requires recliting or episode.
In Pakistan, organizations like Telenor and Jazz are already promoting employees in AI -related tools such as data analtics, digital marketing automation and chatboat operations. The PSDF has deployed the AI -powered learning management system (LMS) that personalizes content, tracks learning progress and recommends adaptive learning routes, especially for remote and underprivileged communities.
Youth and Ecomic MObesity
For the youth of Pakistan, the AI represents the upper movement tickets, especially in the underground and rural areas. With the internet penetration, more than 39 % now, and access to growing mobile broadband, more and more young can tap in digital learning and remote work. AI -powered platforms reduce admission barriers to learning, low -cost certificates and access to the flammatory economy.
AI is enabling ways to get services. Using platform AI, such as Rozee.pk and Mustakbal, are using candidates to meet skills -based jobs, not only reduce degrees, bias and equalize the playground. Impacts such as Pakistani startups use AI to evaluate soft skills and cultural fit, which helps young people in their power jobs.
