Montreal: Air Canada’s united flight attendees left out early on Saturday morning when after a salary talks with the country’s largest career, a move that is expected to disrupt more than 100,000 passenger travel projects.
The union representing the union represented more than 10,000 Air Canadian flight attendant, which confirmed the 72 -hour stay in a social media post just before 0100 ET (0500 GMT) in the first strike of the flight attendant since 1985.
The airline said Saturday that it had suspended all flights to Air Canada and its budget Arm Air Canada Rog, when a cabin staff strike took place after representing Canada’s Union of Public Employees (Cupe).
Air Canada said in a statement, “The strike is going on every day about 130 130,000 users.”
The airline said, “Air Canada is strictly advising the affected users not to go to the airport unless they have a certified ticket on the airline, besides Air Canada or Air Canada Rog.”
Regional operators will continue to work flights to Air Canada Jazz and Paul Airlines.
When the aircraft moves, the audience is paid and union is also trying to compensate for the time spent on the ground between flights and passenger boards.
Air Canada, based in Montreal, which is expected to lock the workers and respond immediately, said it had expected to cancel 623 flights by Friday during the summer busy season. About 100,000 people are expected to be affected only on Friday alone.
Flight Attendants will packet at large Canadian airports on Saturday, where passengers were already trying to secure a new booking earlier Saturday, as the carrier was slowly injured.
24 -year -old passenger Freddy Ramos said on Friday at Toronto’s largest airport in Canada that his previous flight was canceled due to a labor dispute and was rushed to a different destination by Air Canada.
“Maybe 10 minutes before boarding, our gate changed and then it was canceled and then delayed and then it was canceled again,” he said.
Air Canada and Air Canada Rogs usually carry about 130 130,000 users a day. Air Canada is also the busiest foreign carrier serving the United States through the number of scheduled flights.
Although the conflict has gained the support of passengers for a flight attendant on social media, the Canadian business called on the federal government to impose a mediation from both sides, which would end the strike.
Air Canada has asked Prime Minister Mark Karni’s minority liberal government to order both sides to mediate, though the cup, which represents the audience, said it had opposed the move.
The Canadian Labor Code has given job minister Petty Hajdo the right to ask the country’s industrial relations board to enforce mediation in the interests of the economy.
Hajid has repeatedly called on both sides, who are not bargaining, returning to the table.
The Union has said that Air Canada has offered to compensate for the flight attendant for some work that is now without compensation but is only 50 % of his hour rate.
The carrier offered a 38 % increase in total compensation for flight attendants in four years, an increase of 25 % in the first year, which the Union said was inadequate.
In a note to the clients on Friday, Financial Services firm TD Coon analysts called on the career to “expand the olive branch to eliminate the deadlock”, adding that investors fear that the airline’s most important quarter is expected to increase any income.
The note states that “we think it would be better for AC to get labor peace.” “The dangers of negotiations are not due to the victory.”
