Air Force One/Moscow Ride: Donald Trump said he wanted to visit Alaska on Friday when he went to Alaska for a summit with Russia’s Vladimir Putin to help end Europe’s most deadly war since World War II.
Ukrainian President Wolodmeer Zelannsky, who was not invited to the talks, and his European allies fears that Trump can sell Ukraine by essentially freezing conflict and just informally recognizing Ukraine – if only informally – Russian control is Ukraine’s fifth.
Trump tried to address such concerns when he boarded Air Force One, saying he would allow Ukraine to decide any possible regional conversion. “I am not here to talk for Ukraine here, I am present to bring them to a table,” he said.
When it was asked that the meeting would be successful, he told reporters: “I want to see the ceasefire faster … If not today, I will not be happy … I want to stop the murder.”
Since returning to the White House, the United States and Russian presidents are scheduled to meet at an airspace base in the Cold War era in Alaska’s largest city when Trump returned to the White House.
Trump hopes that a 3-1/2-year war will reinforce his credentials as a world peace maker for a Nobel Peace Prize.
For Putin, the summit is already a huge victory that he can present as a proof that Western efforts to isolate Russia have been revealed, and that Moscow is taking back its right place on the upper table of international diplomacy.
According to Russia’s RIA News Agency, Russian Special Envoy Karl Dmitrio previously described the mood as “fighter” and said that the two leaders would discuss not only Ukraine but also the complete spectrum of bilateral relations.
Trump, who once said that he would end the Russian war in Ukraine within 24 hours, acknowledged Thursday that he had proved to be more difficult than he expected. He said that if Friday’s conversation runs well, arranging a second, the three -way summit with Zilinski will be more important than the encounter with Putin.
According to the Interfax News Agency, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that if Alaska’s fruits were talked about, a three -way summit would be possible. Peskov also said that Friday’s talks could continue for 6-7 hours and his colleagues would be participated in it, which was expected to have one meeting.
Zlinski said the summit should open the way for “peace” and three -way dialogue, which includes them, but added that Russia is fighting on Friday. Earlier, a Russian ballistic missile attacked the Duperoprosco region of Ukraine, killing one person and injuring another.
“It’s time to end the war, and necessary steps are essential through Russia,” Zelinsky wrote on the Telegram messaging app. We are counting on the United States. “
Smart boy
The Kremlin said Putin would arrive at Alaska at 11am (1900 GMT) and will meet with Trump on his plane.
Trump said about Putin, “He is a smart man, has been doing it for a long time but I … we are with, a good level of respect from both sides.” He also welcomed the decision to bring many Putin businessmen with him.
“But unless we resolve the war, they are not doing business,” he said, reiterating the risk of Russia’s “economically severe” consequences, saying that if the summit goes badly.
A source familiar with the thinking of the Kremlin said that there were signs that Moscow could be ready to compromise on Ukraine because Putin understands Russia’s economic weakness and the cost of continuing the war.
Reuters has previously reported that Putin may be willing to freeze the dispute over the front letters, provided that there is a legal commitment to extend NATO to the east and remove some Western sanctions. NATO has said that the future of Ukraine is in unity.
Russia, whose economy is showing signs of tension, is under further sanctions to US sanctions – and Trump has threatened revenue on Russian and Indian buyers, mainly.
Russian sources said, “For Putin, economic problems are secondary to goals, but they understand our weakness and costs.”
Putin this week held Trump to the possibility of something else that Trump wants – a new nuclear weapons control agreement to change the last survivor, which expires next February.
Joint grading
Sources familiar with the thinking of the Kremlin said it looks like both sides have been able to find some common ground.
“Apparently, certain terms will be agreed … because Trump cannot be denied, and we are not in a position to deny it (due to pressure pressure).
Putin has said that it is open for a complete ceasefire but the issues of verification should be set up first. An agreement can be a war in the air war.
Zillski has formally rejected Moscow to hand over any area and is also looking for security guarantee from the United States. It is unclear how this guarantee can work.
Ukraine people who spoke to Reuters in Central CEF on Friday were not optimistic about the summit.
“There will be nothing good, because there is a war, it will not end,” said 65-year-old cleaner, Tatiana Harcoinco, said Tatiana Harcoinko.
